The three children of Candace Cameron Bure of “Full House” and “Fuller House” fame may be grown, but she still has one requirement for the people they date which shows once again what a devout Christian she really is.

“My faith is really the foundation of who I am,” she said in a 2020 exclusive with Fox.

“It’s so important to me, and it’s always a part of me, whether it’s at home and privately, or when I’m reading the Bible in Bible study. But also at work, and the choices I make within work, and the companies I choose to work with and the projects that I choose to take on.”

Cameron Bure’s Rule

So, it comes as no surprise that she would want this for her children.

“When it comes down to it, I just want [their significant others] to love Jesus the way I love Jesus,” Cameron Bure told US Weekly. “That’s all I really want. Is that too much to ask for? Yeah. It’s not too much.”

She went on to say that she wants her children to find people who are like minded, meaning their values and morals and faith are all the same. And they complement one another. And, really a spouse that is going to challenge them in the best of ways.”

Cameron Bure and her husband of 25 years, former professional hockey player Valeri Bure, are parents to Natasha, 22, Lev, 21, and Maksim, 19.

The actress went on to say that Natasha in particular is “dating a lot now.” She added that she “had it wrong” when she previously said her daughter was not dating very much.

“She just wasn’t telling me about all of her dates at the time,” Cameron Bure said. “She is dating, and I’m good with that. I’m happy. She has to date the right guys.”

Cameron Bure also said that she is not against setting her children up on dates if she comes upon “a potentially good prospect.”

“If you know they’re from a good family and you know they might get along, we’ll do [that.] For sure,” she said emphatically.

Cameron Bure Loves Meeting Her Kids’ Dates

When her kids bring their dates home, Cameron Bure says it’s “super fun” to show off baby photos of them.

“Social media is a thing and everybody loves sharing pictures,” she explained. “It is probably not as embarrassing to most kids as it would have been to [people my age] because they just love seeing pictures of themselves.”

Cameron Bure’s son Lev proposed to his girlfriend Taylor Hutchinson in November, but they have since ended their engagement.

His mother said that he is doing “great” with the “mutual” decision not to get married, adding, “Nobody’s upset and heartbroken.”

Cameron Bure’s New Movie

Cameron Bure gave this interview to promote her new Hallmark Channel movie Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Til Death Do Us Part, which premiered last night.

She described Teagarden as one of her “favorite” roles in her decades-long career.

“These movies are always so much fun and this time, we get a wedding, which is so, so cool,” she said. “We’re 16 movies in, and we’re finally marrying off Aurora, but not without a few hitches along the way because there was, of course, a murder to be solved.”

Cameron Bure has long been known as one of the few openly Christian actresses in Hollywood.

Her rule for her kids’ potential significant others is a good one.
