Schitt’s Creek has been gone for over five years now, and we finally have a great replacement for the iconic show. Dan Levy’s big show, Big Mistakes on Netflix, is bringing together an all-star cast.
The story will be similar to Schitt’s Creek, as it follows another dysfunctional family’s misadventures. But this one is unique, as it will follow two siblings who are blackmailed into becoming involved in organized crime.
According to Tudum, the show “promises to be a wildly dysfunctional, hilariously chaotic ride.”
Like Schitt’s Creek, the show will star Dan Levy, with additions like Taylor Ortega, and sitcom legend Laurie Metcalf, best known for her roles in Roseanne and The Connors.

“I’m so excited to be bringing this truly chaotic family story to life with Netflix,” Levy says. “I’m thrilled with the team we’re building both behind the scenes and in front of the camera. Taylor Ortega is going to become a household name, and it’s been my life’s mission to get to call Laurie Metcalf ‘mother.’ Looking forward to getting to share this with everyone.”
The other cast members include Hell of a Summer’s Abby Quinn, Sharp Objects’ Elizabeth Perkins, Twin Peaks’ Josh Fadem, and Thank You, Next’s Boran Kuzum.
