Beth Chapman, wife of Dog The Bounty Hunter Duane Chapman, has spent the past few months fighting for her life against Stage 4 lung cancer. Though the 51-year-old reality television star has been through Hell and back during this fight, she just revealed in a new speech that it has been her Christian faith that has gotten her through the tough times.

Unwavering faith

People Magazine reported that Beth opened up about her cancer battle, which she describes as the “ultimate test of faith” during a Mother’s Day speech at Source Church in Bradenton, Florida.

“I don’t go to God and go, ‘Why did I get cancer?’” Beth told the congregation. “He’ll roll his eyes at me again, because I know why — because this is the ultimate test of faith. It is the evidence of things hoped for and it is the substance of things not known.”

No more treatment

Beth also alluded to the fact that she has stopped getting chemotherapy treatments, something her husband Duane “Dog” Chapman has confirmed in the past by saying that she has instead turned to alternative treatment methods.

“Chemotherapy is not my bag, people. Sorry, that’s not for me,” Beth explained. “So for me, this is the ultimate test of faith. This is my ultimate lesson. And it will either be taught to me or to you. And I am fine with taking the hit for everyone else. Because I think I know another guy who did the same thing.”

Beth also made it clear that she is not giving up.

“We’ve had an amazing life. We had great fun and we’re still having fun,” Beth continued, referring to herself and her husband. She added that she still has a “lot to do” in life and that she believes the “Lord of impossible miracles is going to show up big” for her.

Beth has been through so much in the past few months, and the fact that she has not let this shake her Christian faith in even the slightest of ways is something that we can all learn from. Instead of letting this cancer battle get her down, Beth is getting the strength to keep on fighting from her Lord and Savior.

Please keep Beth in your thoughts and prayers as she continues to fight cancer. You’ve got this, Beth!
