Sweet November (2001)
Even if it’s kind of campy and predictable now, Sweet November is also weirdly captivating. That’s likely because Charlize Theron is always a treasure no matter what haphazard plot she is handed.
She plays a carefree woman who meets a workaholic played by Keanu Reeves and convinces him to spend a month with her so that she can help him live life more spontaneously. Typical manic pixie dream girl stuff, right? Except this movie takes a weird, dark turn when Charlize’s character has a secret she is keeping from her new lover. She refuses to commit to him once November is over and Keanu figures out why.
