Holly Holm shocked the MMA world when she finished Ronda Rousey.

Now, Holm finds herself at an intersection in a Hall of Fame career.

Holm returns to the Octagon this Saturday night to meet Ketlen Vieira in a bantamweight main event at UFC Fight Night. The bout headlines the ESPN+ card from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

The 40-year-old Holm ruled the boxing world before transitioning into mixed martial arts. And she has done so with great success.

Holm is coming off back-to-back decision wins over Irene Aldana and Raquel Pennington, which has positioned her right in the thick of things.

However, if you look a little deeper at her resume, Holm has been in a bit of a funk.

Since her 2015 stunning knockout of Rousey at UFC 193 in Australia for the bantamweight belt, she has gone just 4-5 with losses to Amanda Nunes, Cris Cyborg, Valentina Shevchenko, Germaine de Randamie and Miesha Tate.

The interesting thing about all five of those setbacks: they have come in title fights.

Holm has always been at the forefront of the action. And she is sure to stay there until the day she hangs it up.

But if she isn’t able to capitalize on this moment with a win followed up by a victory in a championship match, this could be the final run she has.
