Breaking news! John Cena is no longer the top merchandise seller in the WWE. Reported by The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Roman Reigns is topping the merchandise sale list.
Reasons for Roman Beating Cena

Roman must be thrilled with his success, but insiders expected it. Cena has been away from the WWE for some time, focusing on other film and television projects.
The similarities between Reigns and Cena are remarkable. Both superstars are booed mercilessly during appearances, yet they are both the most reliable merchandise sellers on the roster. Who knows? Maybe Reigns will make his way to movies and television appearances in a couple of years as well. I am confident that following in the footsteps of his cousin the Rock is in the cards.
What Are the Other Top Merchandise Sellers in the WWE?
Merchandise sales can have a positive influence in the world of professional wrestling. So, if you are doing good on merchandise sales, it could translate in better bookings and some serious pushes.
Aside from Roman Reigns and John Cena, other WWE superstars are doing well on the merchandise sales list as well.
Braun Strowman
One guy that is pulling high numbers on merchandise sales is Braun Strowman, although this is a fact that will surprise nobody. Strowman is so “over” at the moment; he would not get the crowd against him even if he tried.
As for his merchandise, Braun Strowman certainly has loads in the WWE shop. He currently has a plethora of shirts, but also pendants, signed plaques, duffel bags, vinyl figures, sunglasses and anything else you “want to get your hands on.” See what I did there?
Seth Rollins
Another WWE superstar doing remarkably well on merchandise sales is the current Intercontinental Champion and Shield member Seth Rollins.
Since his “burn it down” gimmick started, Rollins has been on fire, no pun intended. His popularity has sky-rocketed and increases with every excellent match he puts on.
Finn Balor
Even though we still get the feeling Vince does not like Finn Balor, the man has some fantastic merchandise sales, so Vince’s opinion does not matter. It is clear the crowd does want Finn Balor, no matter how much management tries to bury him.
Finn Balor has some cool merchandise, but the thing that stands out for me most is his Finn Balor “Balor Club Worldwide,” a replica of his leather jacket. Still, it is the most expensive item in his merchandise range.
Ronda Rousey
A female superstar has now made it to the list with top merchandise sellers as well. Alexa Bliss did not do too bad, but Ronda has her beat.
Even though most women on the roster have been wrestling longer than Ronda, Rousey has an astronomical amount of merchandise. Not that I’m complaining, now I can complement my Alexa range with a Rousey range as well. Woop Woop!
