It’s time for your weekly RAW In A Nutshell, and this one asks a major question. After Friday’s defeat, can RK-Bro ride again?

Given what we’ve heard is in store for Riddle and Orton…I say there’s a decent chance.

But, right after Friday’s major defeat? One that saw The Usos unify the RAW and SmackDown tag titles…maybe not so fast.

With Hell In A Cell not even a couple weeks away, it seems safe that the battles between those teams are far from over.

Again, as we work toward the Cell, there are other clashes heating up.

What will go down between Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins this week? Or will The Miz keep The American Nightmare plenty busy?

How will Bianca Belair prep for a match against Asuka? And what might Becky Lynch have to say about that?

Plus, after the tag team chaos that came about last Monday…and all the nasty fallout…what might happen this week to top that?

In any case, it is now time for…

RAW In A Nutshell: After Defeat, Can RK-Bro Ride Again?

can rk-bro ride again

So, let’s crack open this Nutshell and find out!

Best Match of the night:

I was a big fan of the opening bout…though it felt like an odd spot for that. Like…if they are prepping Riddle for a main event shot with Reigns, shouldn’t he be in a RAW main event too?

can rk-bro ride again

Yes, I know that is merely a formality and all….but still felt funny.

Worst match of the night:

No match. The King’s Court was worse than anything else tonight.

Crowd Chants of the Night:

RK-Bro

Cody

Star of the Night

Riddle, hands down.

Cody is good, even with the countdown thing which I don’t quite get still.

Spot of the Night:

I felt this one…

Jobber of the Night:

Sami Zayn…no question.

He teamed up with Jimmy and Jey…and he got to take the loss so that the newly minted WWE Unified Tag Champs didn’t.

Upset of the Night:

Well, MVP over Lashley, kind of.

Like, with Omos, you kind of expected MVP could and might win. And he did…but it’s my upset.

Holy Sh** Moment of the Night:

Barely, but Becky Lynch beating Asuka and thus landing in the RAW Women’s Championship match at Hell In A Cell does it for me.

Botch of the night:

Lawler quickly shows why he does not need to be around anymore.

Meant to say “The Mysterios”. Instead, said “The Domeniks”.

Noteworthy Moment:

Remember that opening question, can RK-Bro ride again?

Well, Riddle’s passionate opening promo certainly puts that in doubt.

can rk-bro ride again

He mentions that Randy has been having back issues and has been struggling, and he doesn’t know if RK-Bro will ever ride again.

To be fair, both Superstars are capable of, and deserve, satisfying singles runs. While the duo was super fun and lasted a lot longer than anyone ever expected…all good things do come to an end.

Perhaps the title loss, followed by a couple one on one shots at Roman Reigns, will effectively close the book on RK-Bro.

Can RK-Bro ride again? The Magic 8 Ball says…the future is unclear.

Also…all of our (least) favorite big foreign event is returning…

Overall lowlights:

In an absolutely cringe inducing segment, we had a return of The King’s Court, with Lawler interviewing Veer Mahaan.

Basically, amounted to Veer saying nothing, so Lawler cracked stupid jokes that angered him and then he threatened Lawler.

That brought out Rey and Dom, and the program continues.

Lawler might be a legend and Hall of Famer…but that wasn’t fun in the slightest.

Also, Veer should not talk. Like, he needs a manager pronto.

Lashley was not much better. His mic shortcomings were exacerbated by the fact he had to go head to head with MVP, who is much stronger in the promo game.

Becky Lynch’s shades…

Overall highlights:

Riddle, standing on his own (sort of, the Profits were there). Love the passionate promo, and while I have no illusions of him beating Roman Reigns right now…it’s fun to dream.

While I think the Cody Clock could or has gotten old…Rhodes is doing well and I am enjoying him back in WWE.

He and Rollins work so well together, and tonight The Miz got some of the rub too.

I am willing to say adding Becky to the title match should be a good thing. She’s one of the bigger Superstars, so if they have Belair beat both women, that helps Bianca.

Of course…if WWE decides yet again to cut a Belair reign short…

After the final bell:

Compared to last week, it was sort of a downer of a RAW.

Less chaos, no one walked out (or if they did it wasn’t discussed on air).

And, after RAW lost another title (or, titles), it was just a down mood.

That said, Riddle may get another chance to shine, and while his mouth may rub some the wrong way, the talent is there.

While he’s rumored as next man up for Roman Reigns, there is no booked match at Hell In A Cell…yet…and there is not much time left to do that.
