After going 7-0 to begin her pro career, rising star Aspen Ladd has been booked to throw hands with one of the greatest female fighters of all time, Holly Holm.

Recently the UFC announced that Ladd and Holm will battle at UFC 235, which will go down on March 2nd in Las Vegas.

The 23-year-old Ladd has gone 2-0 so far in the Octagon, and she’s coming off a quick, stoppage win over Tonya Evinger at UFC 229 in October.

The 37-year-old Holm (12-4), meanwhile, took on featherweight contender Megan Anderson in June and handed her a decision loss. The former bantamweight champ and decorated boxer has gone 2-3 in her last 5 contests.

So, this is a very interesting addition to UFC 235. Clearly it’s a massive opportunity for Ladd to jump right into title contention at 135. Holm, on the other hand, will likely need a win to remain in the title shot mix.

Update: MMA Fighting’s Marc Raimondi is reporting that Holm’s manager, Lenny Fresquez, says the fight with Ladd is not in fact finalized.
