– There was a huge segment last night on Monday Night RAW where Alexa Bliss revealed the women’s tag team titles, and made an announcement around the fact that the new champions would be crowned at February’s Elimination Chamber pay-per-view (PPV), with three teams from RAW participating and three teams from SmackDown LIVE.

Joe Peisich of Barnburner’s No Holds Barred podcast noted that the company apparently already has some huge Wrestlemania plans when it comes to the women’s tag team champions. He stated that Sasha Banks and Bayley would most likely win the titles at the Elimination Chamber, and then move on to defend them at the flagship event against none other than Team Bestie, WWE Hall of Famers Lita and Trish Stratus.

The Hugger and The Boss versus Lita and Stratus? Sounds like an interesting bout to say the least.
– Speaking of Peisich, he also recently reported during his podcast that EC3 may also have a huge WM 35 bout potentially slated for the Grandest Stage of Them All. During the Barnburner’s No Holds Barred podcast, Joe revealed that EC3 just may be going up against former Intercontinental Champion, Dean Ambrose. As one of the big main eventers on RAW right now, having a program with Ambrose would undoubtedly be a big opportunity for the NXT newcomer and shows that the company has a ton of faith in him.

EC3 made his debut on RAW last night; however, if you blinked, you may have missed his part in the backstage segment. While it was mentioned last night that all the NXT newcomers to the main roster would be appearing on both brands in the coming weeks to see how their fair on each show, should he wind up in a Wrestlemania program with Ambrose, there is a very good chance that EC3 will be playing for Team Red moving forward.
Only time will tell.
