Renan Ferreira’s win at PFL 3 recently is no longer as the New Jersey Athletic Commission has overturned the result, making it a no-contest with Fabricio Werdum.
Ferreira was declared the winner after the referee stepped in at PFL 3 last week following several uncontested strikes. However, the Werdum camp appealed, saying Ferreira had tapped to a choke that was missed by the official.
The PFL, which uses a regular season to determine who advances to the tournament, has updated the heavyweight standings with both Ferreira and Werdum receiving one point.
