Paul Heyman Is Pushing A WWE Superstar

-Once Paul Heyman was brought in to his new position of authority over Monday Night RAW, he’s been looking at ways to improve the product.

After certain shows, fans have been convinced of seeing more and more of Heyman’s influence in how things have gone.

One Superstar believed to be benefitting from Heyman’s handiwork has been Braun Strowman-though his renewed push isn’t a tremendous surprise. Strowman has been in the top tier programs for a bit now.

Now, per Wrestling Observer, there’s a new Superstar whom Heyman has show an affinity for: Robert Roode.

Roode, alongside Dolph Ziggler, recently became one half of the RAW Tag Team Champions. Now, on tonight’s episode of Monday Night RAW, the former NXT Champion finds himself in a Fatal 5 Way bout to become the #1 contender to the Universal Championship. That winner will have a match next Monday on RAW.

Admittedly, the timing of this is a bit odd. Seth Rollins is already scheduled to defend his Universal Championship at Hell in a Cell, in a match against The Fiend. It seems weird that WWE would have a match to determine another challenger this week, while giving them a title shot next week, knowing that there’s a big Cell match lurking.

Of course, it’s entirely possible that The Fiend gets involved tonight, to ensure Rollins remains champion.

Shane McMahon Made An Offer To A UFC Legend

-It’s no surprise that WWE has, and had, interest in talents working for UFC.

Over the years, WWE has seen a few notable UFC alums work in it’s rings. The most notable among them? Ken Shamrock, Ronda Rousey and, of course, Brock Lesnar.

Before those names, Chuck Liddell was a massive name in UFC. He used to hang out with Shane McMahon, who at one point made the Ice Man an offer to work for WWE, should he ever be interested. This came out of a recent interview Liddell did with comicbook.com.

Liddell never was interested, but it’s neat to imagine what could have been.
