He may be the epitome of Florida dirtbag, and probably knows the location of half a dozen meth labs, but some time in the recent past Mike Perry became exceedingly likable. Which is good. He’s got decent skills, heavy hands, and though his prospects of fighting for a belt are slim, the world needs bangers.
Brazilian striking specialist Alex Oliveira is another likable dude–also a banger–but since UFC on ESPN+8 was taking place in Florida, can you guess who was expected to win this one?
It was a pretty bonkers fight, though. Oliveira pieced up Perry pretty good at times…

…But more often than not, Perry was just too beastly for him.

Perry even came close to finishing him…
