Former UFC champion Jon Jones has accepted a plea deal.
Jones will not serve jail time in regards to a domestic battery charge filed against him earlier this year. ESPN reports that online court records were made available.
Jones instead pleaded nolo contendere to a lesser charge of misdemeanor destroying the property of another. He appeared Tuesday in a Las Vegas Justice Court.
The incident happened in September during the UFC Hall of Fame event in Las Vegas. Jones was originally charged with felony tampering with a vehicle and misdemeanor domestic battery.
This was just the latest in a growing number of run-ins with the law involving Jones. The fighter has also been suspended for using performance-enhancing drugs during his MMA career.
Jones, a former UFC light heavyweight champion, is expected to move up to the heavyweight division in 2022.
