Johnny Gargano completed his NXT run in early December 2021. When his WWE contract expired, he decided not to renew it. Many fans have speculated a jump to AEW, but a recent report indicates the two aren’t formally talking about contracts.

Johnny Gargano & AEW Not Talking

As per Fightful Select, there has been no official conversation around contract details or negotiations between AEW and Johnny Wrestling. While they have been in contact, apparently Gargano is more focused on a very pregnant Candice LeRae, right now.

The two are happily expecting the arrival of their firstborn child, soon. His main priority is helping his wife through this pregnancy, in any way he can.

The report states that Johnny has made it clear that as of now, he’s taking some time off to help Candace with the baby, which is due any day now. Gargano is clearly focused on the most important part of his life, which is his growing family.

Talks Between Johnny Gargano & AEW Can Come Later

Welcoming a child into this world is an incredible experience. Not many parents are afforded the ability to take an extra leave of absence, so this is certainly a great opportunity for both Gargano and LeRae.

Will Johnny ever make it to the land of AEW? Hard to say, perhaps only time will tell.

Over to the land of WWE, Bayley’s been out for months due to an injury. Could she be making her in-ring return anytime soon?

Bayley At Elimination Chamber?

Bayley’s been hinting on social media about a potential comeback from her injury. In fact, after a recent post, many fans have been wondering if it’ll happen at WWE’s Elimination Chamber pay-per-view (PPV) in February.

On Monday, an announcement was made about a women’s Elimination Chamber match at the event. The winner will get a chance to face off against the RAW Women’s Champion for the title, at WrestleMania 38.

So far, the women lined up for the match are Doudrop, Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan, Rhea Ripley, and Nikki A.S.H. Interestingly enough, the sixth superstar is a “mystery”.

WWE recently tweeted about the match, and Bayley replied. See the post, below.

Could this be a tease that she’s the “mystery” superstar slated for the WWE Elimination Chamber? Only time will tell.

Bayley’s Injury And Recovery Timeline

Currently, Bayley is out of action due to a torn ACL that occurred in July 2021, while training at the WWE Performance Center. She required surgery and is recovering from that.

At the time, the former women’s champion was going to be out for nine months. By this timeline, her return would have been mid-April, after WM 38.

With that said, a recent Wrestling Observer Newsletter report revealed that she might be returning to the ring ahead of what was expected. It also states that Bayley could return to the ring as early as this month.

The Elimination Chamber is Saturday, February 19th. It’s taking place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

It’s interesting because Bayley has only performed at one WWE Saudi event since the company began touring there some years ago. At Super ShowDown in 2020, she retained her SmackDown Women’s Championship, defeating Naomi.
