Hooker reports he’s “good as new”
The 30-year-old faced Poirier in the headliner of UFC Vegas 4, and as many expected, the fighters went to war. During the jaw-dropping fight, Poirier landed 208 strikes and Hooker scored with 182. Both men were left bloodied and bruised.
Well, more recently, the New Zealand fighter shared out the images and comments below.
Pretty remarkable recovery huh?
Hooker’s next fight?
Heading into UFC Vegas 4, the consensus was that if Hooker won the bout, he would be knocking on the title shot door. But, Poirier emerged from the thrilling contest with the decision win.
As a result, Hooker will likely need to record at least one more big win, before he’s back in the title shot conversation. Following his loss to Poirier, Hooker said he’s more than willing to fight former interim lightweight champ, Tony Ferguson next.
