Conor McGregor offered some parting words for Nate Diaz.
Diaz completed his UFC contract with a main event win over Tony Ferguson at UFC 279 Saturday night. As of now, it would appear that Diaz is headed elsewhere, including a moe to begin his own promotion.
McGregor, who shared the Octagon with Diaz twice before, took to social media to express his feelings.
“Congrats on making it to the end of his contractual obligations with the UFC,” McGregor wrote, “and as a bonafide superstar goer. An incredible feat. Fair play.
“Our trilogy will happen.”
Congrats Nate Diaz on making it to the end of his contractual obligations with the UFC, and as a bonafide superstar goer. An incredible feat. Fair play.

The two each hold a win over the other, as Diaz won the first meeting in 2016 via second round submission. Later that year, McGregor scored a majority decision victory.
