Not long ago, he made a big challenge…and then he went missing-what is Bray Wyatt’s WrestleMania status? And the next WWE Hall of Fame celebrity inductee is…Andy Kaufman!

Bray Wyatt’s WrestleMania Status

We all remember when he called “next” for the winner of Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley. However, he’s been missing in recent weeks, so what’s Bray Wyatt’s WrestleMania status?

It seems crazy that one of WWE’s hottest Superstars has been off television just weeks away from the biggest weekend of the year.

And, with Vince McMahon back in WWE in some capacity, plenty of people have provided their theories for Wyatt’s absence.

Like, is he even still with WWE? Because we know of the reports that Wyatt and McMahon didn’t get along.

But, for now, fans can rest easy. Bray Wyatt’s WrestleMania status remains unknown, but the Superstar does remain a part of WWE.

According to Dave Meltzer, Bray Wyatt is suffering from an undisclosed illness, explaining his extended television absence.

Previously, it was reported that he was dealing with a physical ailment, but thus far, we have no additional information.

Yes, right now Bobby Lashley is still officially without a match for Hollywood.

Assuming Bray Wyatt can go, that still seems to be the call.

However, it’s hard to ignore that WrestleMania is, as of this writing, less than two weeks away.

Meaning, if WWE needs to pivot, that may have to happen soon.

And, per at least one report, Wyatt won’t be on RAW:

That being said, as pointed out by the report and as caught by plenty of fans watching Friday’s SmackDown…Wyatt is hanging around.

While he was initially expected at the show, he did not physically appear. Instead, we did see the moth logo in the background during an LA Knight segment.

This does keep Wyatt on TV, if not on TV himself. Surprisingly, they did not rely on Uncle Howdy for that, but there is still time.

Whether this teaser hints that we may be running back Wyatt and LA Knight instead of Lashley remains to be seen.

For now, Bray Wyatt’s WrestleMania status remains a mystery.

WWE Hall Of Fame Celebrity Inductee Is…

When I read this, I was surprised, but the next WWE Hall of Fame celebrity inductee is none other than Andy Kaufman.

I was surprised, because given his notable “feud” with Jerry “The King” Lawler, you’d think he was already in it.

The news was covered by Variety.

Kaufman was a notable comedian from the 1970’s and 1980’s. His connection to wrestling comes through the feud with Lawler.

That dates back to Lawler’s time in the Continental Wrestling Association. Kaufman declared himself to be the Inter-gender Wrestling Champion of the World.

As such, he liked to take on women, and Lawler took issue with that, driving the feud.

Of course, in real life, the two men were friends.

The feud, as well as the rest of Kaufman’s life, was covered in the 1999 film “Man in the Moon”.

It would seem obvious to tab Jerry Lawler for the induction, however that is not a slam dunk.

Lawler suffered a stroke earlier in 2023, and it is unclear if he would be in any shape to travel and present.

Kaufman’s induction will be a posthumous one, as the funnyman passed away in 1984.
