– Becky Lynch is set to defend her SmackDown Women’s Championship in a triple threat match against Charlotte Flair and Asuka at WWE’s Tables, Ladders, and Chairs (TLC) event taking place on December 16th. The match not only has the title on the line, but will be the company’s first-ever women’s TLC bout.
We all know that Lynch suffered a broken nose and severe concussion at the hands of Nia Jax last month, during the build up to the RAW versus SD LIVE Survivor Series pay-per-view (PPV).

As per the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, while The Man has been cleared of any concussion issues, her nose hasn’t been medically cleared yet, thanks to a nasal fracture. Lynch is currently at “limited clearance” status, which allows her to do T.V. work, but nothing in the ring. The silver lining in all this is that while recovery times around concussions can be uncertain, it is expected that she’ll be cleared for her nasal fracture within the next 10 days or so, which cuts it close to the TLC PPV; however, this might be the reason why the bout was turned into a triple threat.
If Lynch is not cleared for in-ring competition come TLC, Flair and Asuka can still put on a stellar match, and make history doing so, despite no title defence.
– Dave Meltzer recently stated that RAW’s plans changed drastically at the last minute once again this week, during his Wrestling Observer Radio show. As per Meltzer, VKM showed up late, and made changes due to the climate after the passing of President H. W. Bush.

Apparently, Vince was visiting with his mom, and showed up three-and-a-half hours before the show, and changed everything as RAW was in Houston, Texas. McMahon felt the crowd would be in a somber mood, and he wanted to make them happy. Which is why the faces ended up pretty much dominating within the entire show.
