Fans, it’s time to get excited: Willie Nelson and Bob Dylan are reuniting for an epic event: the 10th annual, 35-stop, 22-state Outlaw Music Festival Tour, kicking off on May 13.

Nelson And Dylan Reunite

Of course, it’s exciting to see two icons reuniting – but that’s only the beginning. The line-up is just as impressive:

The tour will will also include performances by Billy Strings, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Sheryl Crow, Turnpike Troubadours, The Avett Brothers, Wilco, The Red Clay Strays, Lake Street Dive, Waxahatchee, Charles Wesley Godwin, Lucinda Williams, Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers, Trampled By Turtles, The Mavericks, Sierra Hull, Willow Avalon, Waylon Payne, Madeline Edwards, Lily Meola, Myron Elkins, and Tami Neilson.

It’s enough to get 91-year-old Willie Nelson out of bed in the morning, that’s for sure.

“What an amazing lineup to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Outlaw Music Festival Tour,” Nelson, 91, told Billboard. “I can’t wait to join friends and family in bringing this celebration to the fans we love.”

The tour will be stopping at venues like the Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl; The Gorge Amphitheatre in Washington State; FirstBank Amphitheater in Franklin, Tenn.; and Dallas’s Dos Equis Pavilion. Tickets will go on sale on Friday morning at 10am. Tickets can be bought on Ticketmaster and on the festival’s website.

Over the past ten years, the Outlaw Music Festival Tour has included performances by Bonnie Raitt, Brandi Carlile, Chris Stapleton, Eric Church, John Fogerty, John Mellencamp, Luke Combs, Neil Young, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, Zach Bryan, and Tyler Childers.

A Complete Unknown

This will be Dylan’s first tour since the release of his biopic A Complete Unknown, which stars Timothée Chalamet as the eccentric singer. The movie has been a massive hit, earning eight Oscar nominations. Chalamet is even nominated for the Best Actor Oscar for his portrayal of Dylan. The movie may draw in younger fans in a big way for this tour.

Nelson Has No Plans To Retire

Though Nelson is now in his 90s, he has no intention of giving up touring.

“Working is really good for me, no matter what kind of show it is,” Nelson previously told AARP. He went on to say that age is “just a number.”

When asked if he’ll ever retire from touring, Nelson replied, “Jokingly, I retire after every tour.”

“But I’m always ready to go back again,” he continued. “I like the bus, I have everything I need on the bus. I never have to go into a hotel room anywhere. It’s not that bad.”

Nelson has also worked hard to keep his voice in good shape.

“I think singing is good for my voice,” he explained. “I don’t do anything to harm it much anymore. If you don’t use it, you lose it.”

Nelson’s Simple Texas Life

When he’s not touring, Nelson enjoys a simple life in Texas.

“I’m right outside of Austin, on top of a hill,” he stated. “I got a few horses, great scenery. I have an old truck I like to drive around. There are other great places in the world, but Texas is my place.”

It’s incredibly exciting that two legends like Nelson and Dylan are reuniting to go on tour. Be sure to check out tickets when they go on sale on February 7!
