Jelly Roll has earned himself the reputation of being one of the kindest and most down-to-earth stars in America today. He recently showcased this once again when he stopped one of his concerts to help a fan in need.

Jelly Roll Halts Concert

While performing at the Tailgates N’ Tallboys country music festival in Midland, Michigan at the end of last month, Jelly Roll stopped his concert when he noticed a fan standing in the crowd using an IV drip.

A video posted to TikTok shows Jelly Roll, 39, stopping his show to address this fan.

“I’ve seen a lot of crazy […] at my shows. But this young lady is out here with a full-blown IV,” he said to the fan. She responded by telling him that she is “a cancer survivor.”

Not wanting her to have to stand any longer, Jelly Roll told his team, “Let’s get her a chair.”

“Somebody on my team, let’s get her somewhere more comfortable to watch the rest of the show. We’ll get you off your feet, baby. OK?” he continued.

Video of this quickly went viral, with fans praising Jelly Roll in the comments section.

“Awww as a cancer survivor I love this!!” one fan commented. “She had to be so weak but she’s there. I couldn’t have done it when I was in treatment 💝.”

“He is the most wholesome artist out there,” another added, with a third writing: “He is a class act!!!!!❤️❤️”

Jelly Roll Wants To ‘Give Back’

Jelly Roll is a country music star who has turned his life around since spending many of his younger days in rehab and prison for drug-related issues. Even after achieving stardom, Jelly Roll still likes to give back in any way that he can.

“I always said that if I ever got in this situation, I would do everything I could to give back,” he told People Magazine in December of 2023.

“The fact that just me showing up places can make people happy is such a gift, and I feel like if God gave me that gift, I should show up,” he added.

Jelly Roll Meets With Cancer Patient In Hospice

In July of last year, Jelly Roll took the time to meet with 65-year-old Suzanne Durham, a hospice patient from Nashville, Tennessee with lung cancer whose dying wish was to see him perform live. Jelly Roll performed a private show for Durham, who worked as a house manager for women recovering from drug and alcohol addiction, and her friends.

“I’m glad I could come to visit you,” he told Durham at the time. “This is cool, and I’m glad you had some friends come too. I was coming to you if you were by yourself in a bed. … I got choked up earlier not about [your] situation but because I was able to serve a woman who spent her life serving.”

“Somebody who came out of the situation you came out of and turned her life around and immediately found purpose helping people who were in that same situation,” he added.

Unlike most celebrities, it’s clear that Jelly Roll has a heart of gold, and he’s never forgotten where he came from. God bless Jelly Roll for continuing to use his platform to do good in the world!
