Singer Celine Dion will reportedly earn an eye-watering sum to perform one song at the opening ceremonies of the Paris Summer Olympics.

As reported by The Mix on Tuesday, Dion is set to make a comeback performance at the Games, marking her first singing appearance since being diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome in 2022.

Stiff Person Syndrome is a rare neurological disorder that causes muscle stiffness and extremely painful spasms. Should the singer – who has been spotted in Paris – make an appearance, it would be a remarkable accomplishment.

The opening ceremony is set to take place on July 26th and will feature a unique setting along the Seine River, showcasing the city’s iconic landmarks including the Eiffel Tower.

Celine Dion Being Rewarded Handsomely For Olympics Appearance

Gossip website TMZ reportedly found out that Celine Dion will be making bank for her appearance at the Olympics. Deservedly so, considering the venue and the circumstances!

Her arrival at the venue alone is an accomplishment. Dion’s performance though – and it is quite understandable – will be limited.

TMZ’s sources indicate she is being paid $2 million for just one song. And that’s not all.

“In addition to her fee, the Olympics is footing the bill for travel, and we’re told — between jets, her large family, boats and other expenses — ‘They’re paying a ton of money. Ridiculous amount,'” they reveal.

Back On Stage – Even If She Has To Crawl

Celine Dion, as evidenced by a recent documentary, is fighting tooth and nail to get herself back to her adoring fans.

“I’m working hard every day. But I have to admit, it’s been a struggle,” she said.

“I miss it so much,” Dion tearfully said of performing. “The people. I miss them. If I can’t run, I’ll walk. If I can’t walk, I’ll crawl. And I won’t stop.”

At the premiere of her documentary in New York City last month the “My Heart Will Go On” singer grew emotional talking about her supporters.

“I cannot believe how fortunate I am to have my fans in my life. Thank you,” she said, crying. “This is my love letter to each of you. I hope to see you all again very, very soon.”

Soon came quickly with the Paris Olympics. Which $2 million song do you think she’ll perform?
