The 59th Academy Of Country Music Awards are set to take place tomorrow night in Frisco, Texas. The awards show will stream live on Amazon Prime for free.
Some of the biggest names in country music are nominated this year, with everyone from Morgan Wallen to Jelly Roll up for major awards.
ACM Awards Nominees
Fox News reported that the most nominated entertainer of the night is Luke Combs, who is up for eight awards, including entertainer of the year and male artist of the year.
Combs’ other nominees for the former category are Chris Stapleton, Cody Johnson, Jelly Roll, Kane Brown, Lainey Wilson and Wallen. Stapleton is the only one of these nominees who has won entertainer of the year before, as he took home that trophy last year.
The most nominated female artist is Megan Moroney, who is up for six awards, including female artist of the year. Her competition in that category is Ashley McBryde, Kacey Musgraves, Kelsea Ballerini, and Wilson.
Wallen is also up for six ACM awards tomorrow night, including male artist of the year. His fellow nominees in that category are Stapleton, Johnson, Jelly Roll, and Luke Combs.
One of the biggest categories of the night is album of the year. The nominees in that category are Combs, Stapleton, Johnson, Wallen and Ballerini.
Yahoo News reported that while Jelly Roll had a truly incredible year in 2023, he was noticeably snubbed by the ACM Awards. That’s all changed this year, however, as he is up for four awards.
Meanwhile, Johnson is up for five ACM Awards. This is the most that he’s ever been nominated for in one year. If he manages to win in one of his categories, it will be his first ever ACM award victory.
Other competitive categories include duo of the year. Those nominees are Brooks & Dunn, Brothers Osborne, Dan + Shay, Maddie & Tae, and The War And Treaty. As for group of the year, the nominees are Flatland Cavalry, Lady A, Little Big Town, Old Dominion, and the Zac Brown Band.
The ACM Awards will feature performances from Jason Aldean, Wilson, Stapleton, Jelly Roll and Brown. Blake Shelton will be performing with his wife Gwen Stefani. Post Malone will be performing at this awards show for the first time.
There will also be a performance by the legendary country music star Reba McEntire, who will be hosting the ACM Awards for the seventeenth time. She’s set to perform her new single “I Can’t,” which she sang for the irst time on The Voice earlier this month.
“It’s a little different from anything I’ve done in a while,” McEntire recently told Good Morning America of the song. “So I hope everybody enjoys it.”
This is a truly incredible time for country music, and there’s no better way to celebrate that than by enjoying the ACM Awards. Amazon Prime members and non-prime members alike can watch the ACM Awards for free on Thursday, May 16, at 8 p.m. EDT / 7 p.m. CDT / 5 p.m. PDT.
