Queen Latifah Comes Back to Host

Rapper, actor, and producer Queen Latifah arrived on the carpet in a long, fuzzy ivory coat cinched with a white belt. Having last hosted the AMAs in 1995, she admitted to PEOPLE that she felt a mix of “nerves” and “excitement” before the 2026 ceremony. She is a veteran host. Her resume includes the 2005 Grammys, the 2010 BET Awards, and numerous other events.
Black Eyed Peas Reunite

After a viral trend on TikTok propelled their 2009/2010 hit back onto the streaming charts, the Black Eyed Peas secured the AMA for Best Throwback Song for “Rock That Body”. The MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas witnessed a major reunion. Fergie joined will.i.am, Taboo, and apl.de.ap on stage to receive the honor.
Given that Fergie had departed from the group in 2018, this rare appearance together generated significant fan excitement. Additionally, the legendary Billy Idol was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his pioneering contributions to punk rock. He closed out the festivities with a nostalgic and rocking medley of “Eyes Without a Face” and “Dancing with Myself.
