After the success of Prey, the iconic horror franchise Predator returns to the big screen once more with a new story. Here is everything we know about Predator: Badlands, the newest installment set in the far future on another world.

While the franchise has had its ups and downs, with Shane Black’s 2018 being a flop, the 2022 release of Prey brought fans back to life with a grounded, yet refreshing story. Predator: Badlands was first seen at CinemaCon 2025, and just a few weeks later, a full trailer was released.
The one-minute teaser opens with Thia, played by Elle Fanning, inside a Predator ship with horrifying trophies displayed on the wall. What’s even more surprising is that Thia is seen having milky white eyes, like the androids from the Alien franchise. Perhaps a crossover will happen once again?
Currently, the cast is not really known. The only recognizable star right now is Elle Fanning, who is most recognized by her role in The Great.
But what is the story about? Predator: Badlands is set on a remote planet and will follow a lone Predator (Dek) as he tries to hunt the dangerous game that lives there. Though it’s unclear as to why Dek is an outcast from the other Predator society, his deadly hunt is likely proving himself worthy of the society.
The trailer also shows that humans are on this unnamed planet, however, they are not part of Dek’s concern at the moment. Instead, the many deadly monsters seem to be what he’s after. It seems as though Thia will help Dek with his hunt, though there is no answer as to why. But that’s not all, the trailer also teases a massive Predator as well, who goes after Dek.
So, when are we going to get this amazing film? Predator: Badlands will release exclusively in theaters on November 7, 2025. Though still a few months out, hopefully we’ll start getting more information about the cast and more snippets of the story while we impatiently wait for the release.
