Watch the My Secret Santa trailer below.

What is My Secret Santa About?

Based on the official logline for the movie, My Secret Santa revolves around:

“A vivacious single mom in need of a job decides to disguise herself as a man in order to get hired as the seasonal Santa at a luxury ski resort. But when she starts to fall in love with the hotel manager, complications develop that could ruin everything.”

The trailer starts with Taylor and her brother and his partner, who happen to have a 3-D printer.

“Okay, let me understand this: You want us to make you into an old man so you can get a job as Santa Claus at the ski resort to get your daughter half-price snowboard lessons?” the pair asks. It only gets wackier from there.

Cast Members

The main cast for My Secret Santa includes Alexandra Breckenridge, Ryan Eggold, Tia Mowry, and Madison MacIsaac.

Supporting cast members include Diana Maria Riva, Jayden Oniah, Adam Beauchesne, William Vaughan, and Barry W. Levy.

Behind the Scenes

Mike Rohl is directing the film based on a screenplay by Carley Smale and Ron Oliver. Howard Braunstein and Alexander Braunstein represent Howard Braunstein Films, which is producing the movie alongside Netflix.

You may know Mike Rohl from his previous work on The Princess Switch 3: Romancing the Star, The Princess Switch: Switched Again, The Princess Switch, Supernatural, Shadowhunters, and Smallville.

When is the Premiere?

My Secret Santa is premiering on Netflix on December 3rd, 2025, just in time for the Christmas season. A subscription to the service is required to watch.

A Mrs. Doubtfire Situation

This is a step outside of her comfort zone for Breckenridge, even with the romantic undertone to the film.

When interviewed, Breckenridge said, “This was very out of the box for me. It was something that people normally wouldn’t approach me for, and I was extremely flattered. … People tend to look at me for the romantic interest role in whatever it may be — not that this isn’t a romantic comedy, because it absolutely is — but I was able to become a different character.”

“It was scary, but I wanted to take on the challenge,” she adds.

When talking to PEOPLE magazine about the Mrs. Doubtfire situation, there are some differences.

“It really is because this woman needs a job. And it’s very much a Mrs. Doubtfire situation. In that film, Robin Williams was desperate to see his kids. Here, she’s like, ‘I have no money.'”

If you want a fun, comedic Christmas film with just a pinch of romance sprinkled in, head over to Netflix on December 3rd for My Secret Santa.
