A man allegedly wielding a ‘double-ended’ axe has been shot by police in the city of Hull in England.
Humberside police confirmed a 31-year-old man was shot by officers this morning. One witness claims the man was carrying an axe when he was tasered by police.
Seeing a man running with a double ended axe being tasered by police was not what I was expecting to happen today, hull is a lovely place

Here’s footage of the scene:
Workman Kevin Hollis told the Hull Daily Mail, “I’ve been told that a guy with an axe was attacking a car, and he was shot twice. He’s dead apparently.”
However, the Independent reports the man is currently receiving medical attention. The police say he cannot yet be named.
Police have cordoned off a number of streets and the investigation has been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
