
Stephen King is easily known as “The King of Horror” and has built himself a literary empire. He has simply mastered the horror genre, offering compelling stories through gripping storytelling. Given his fame, the icon has revealed who he would pick for a Stephen King biopic if it were to happen one day.

While he’s most well-known for his work with novels, though he has over 200 short stories, and let’s not forget his work with the various movie adaptations throughout the years, including It (2017), The Shawshank Redemption (1994), and The Shining (1980).

His debut novel, Carrie, was published in 1974 and quickly cemented his reputation in the horror genre. But even beyond his writing and creativity, the man has emerged as a powerful public figure, engaging with readers and social media. Given this, it’s highly chance that a biopic will be made of him one day.
And if that does come to pass, the horror icon has revealed who he would want to play him in a Stephen King biopic. During a recent interview, Stephen King humorously picked Brad Pitt, whom he says is way too good-looking. But for a more serious option, he suggested Christopher Lloyd or Kyle MacLachlan.
His full response reads: “I would love to have a good-looking leading man, but I don’t think Brad Pitt would do it. He is a lot better-looking than me. I’m a little bit on the elderly side now, so I’d say maybe Christopher Lloyd or – who’s the guy in Twin Peaks, the main tall guy? Kyle MacLachlan.”
