The internet has gone crazy over Nicki Minaj’s surprise appearance at Turning Point USA’s four-day AmericaFest 2026 summit. On Sunday, the final day of the conservative conference, the rapper, 43, joined Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, to speak about her newfound admiration for President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance.
And since then, fans have noticed that Nicki Minaj deleted her Instagram account. After the immense backlash following her appearance, which resulted in her losing nearly 10 million followers, it seems as though Minaj has taken a break from social media.

However, some fans have pointed out that this isn’t the first time that Minaj has deleted her account, as she’s known for sporadically deleting her Instagram over the past few years, including in October.
During her appearance on Sunday, fans were outraged to hear her speak positively about the president.
“He has given so many people hope that there’s a chance to beat the bad guys and to win and to do it with your head held high,” Minaj told Kirk, 37, when speaking about the president. She even drew comparisons between her and the president, stating that they both grew up in Queens, New York.

“What it’s shown me, personally, is sometimes even the worst feeling times in your life, you think you’re never going to come back from it. But you do. And our president shows that,” Minaj said. “He’s been through every single thing a person can be through publicly — having to constantly be lied [about].”
When asked about her decision to support Trump, Minaj replied, saying she “got tired of being pushed around.”
“I have something inside of me that’s stronger than what’s out there. So when you’ve had enough, you realize, ‘Wait a minute, why do I even care about these people and what they think? Who are they?’ They don’t even know who you are. So I’m not going to back down anymore. I”m not going to back down ever again.”

Fans have also claimed her weird behavior, with some pointing out a slip-up that she made during her praise towards the president and vice president. “Dear young men, you have amazing role models, like our handsome, dashing president. And you have amazing role models like the assassin, JD Vance, our vice president,” she told the crowd.
After the comment, the rapper seemed to realize what she said and sat in silence for a beat while covering her mouth with her hand.
Her appearance was an overwhelming disappointment to fans, with several struggling to understand the change in her tune, wondering if she was influenced by money.
Many have replied to her post on X, saying that if she “needed money this badly, you should have just said that…”
Many have even responded with Charlie Kirk himself bashing Minaj about how poor a role model she is. Others have commented simply that her career is done and that she can’t come back from this appearance.
