The legendary WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett shocked many of his fans last Friday when he revealed the close bond that his children share with the singer Taylor Swift.
Swift’s Bond With Jarrett’s Daughters
Jarrett, 56, revealed in a new interview that Swift, 34, has been a friend of his family for years. He explained that while his late wife Jill Gregory was battling breast cancer, Swift stepped up by babysitting their daughters Joslyn, Jaclyn, and Jerlyn.
Before Gregory lost her battle in May of 2007, Jarrett said that Swift was “very good to our family during a very, very dark period.” At the time, Swift would have been 17 years-old.
“Taylor was like a big sister,” Jarrett recalled. “She came over, took the girls baking cookies, and just hung out at the house. I can’t say enough good things about Taylor.”
Jarrett went on to joke that Swift has “done pretty well for herself.”
After winning 14 Grammys and attaining billionaire status in October of last year, that would be a massive understatement when describing Swift!

‘She’s Just A Sweetheart’
“She’s just a sweetheart. I still call her ‘our girl,’ and now she’s up hanging in the NFL circles,” Jarrett continued, referring to Swift’s relationship with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
Jarrett also clarified that Swift spent time with his daughters out of the goodness of her heart.
“I can tell you this right now, she was never on the Jeff Jarrett payroll,” he explained. “So, technically not a babysitter.”
Swift continued to be bonded to Jarrett’s daughters in the early days of her music career. In 2010, Jarrett’s daughter Jaclyn was featured in the music video for Swift’s hit song “Mine.” Check out that music video below.
‘Good Experience’ On ‘Mine’ Set
“The ‘Mine’ video is so creative, and my daughter, Jaclyn, looked like a little Taylor,” Jarrett told Instinct Culture of this experience in 2021.
Jarrett went on to say that Swift asked him personally if Jaclyn could be in the video.
“Taylor, being as bold as she always is, just said, ‘I want Jaclyn in the video,'” he recalled.
Jarrett didn’t hesitate to say yes, and he travelled to Maine with his daughters for the shoot.
“You had to turn over your cell phone on set and all that stuff,” he remembered. “It was a good experience for the kids.”

Swift ‘Deserves All The Success She Has’
After watching Swift in action on the music video set, Jarrett realized that she’s not only a talented artist, but also an astute businesswoman.
“Not only is she uber-creative as an artist, but she also thinks like a businesswoman,” he said. “Those two skill sets combined, you rarely see. She deserves all the success she has.”
Today, Swift is arguably the most popular singer in the world. She’s currently on the European leg of her history-making Eras Tour, which is the first tour ever to gross at least $1 billion, according to Rolling Stone.
Jarrett’s story about Swift, however, shows that she’s a truly good person who was raised right. God bless her for stepping up to help his little girls when they needed a big sister the most!
