It’s been three years since Will Smith shocked the world by slapping Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars. Despite three years going by, there is reportedly no love lost between the two men. In fact, Will allegedly “still hates” Chris, and “will never forgive him.”
Will ‘Still Hates’ Chris
Smith, 56, slapped Rock, 59, after the comedian made a joke about Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith, 53, being bald. This struck a nerve with Will, as Jada suffers from alopecia, a condition that causes hair loss.
A source told In Touch Magazine that Chris has been going through some drama lately.
Last month, he allegedly “stormed out” in the middle of his set at executive chairman of Pratt Industries Anthony Pratt‘s winter holiday party. He did this after seeing something in the audience that “upset” him. As he made his exit from the billionaire’s party, Chris reportedly screamed that he “wasn’t supposed to be taped, videoed, reported or whatever else wasn’t supposed to happen.”
Needless to say, this did not make Chris look very good.
Now Will is reportedly loving that Chris has found himself in hot water over this incident. One source claimed that Will is reveling “in every second of his misery while twisting the knife to no end.”
“Will’s getting the last laugh and loving it,” the source claimed. The insider added that the former Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air star “will never forgive Chris for ruining his life, even though he’s managed to pick up the pieces in the last year or so.”
The insider concluded by saying that Will “still hates the guy and his smug attitude.”
Sheesh. Talk about a grudge.

The Infamous Oscars Slap
During the 94th Academy Awards in March of 2022, Chris took the stage to present the award for Best Documentary Feature. Will was sitting in the front row with Jada, as he was nominated for Best Actor for his work in King Richard.
Before presenting the documentary award, Chris jokingly compared Jada’s shaved head to that of Demi Moore’s title character in the 1997 movie G.I. Jane. Chris went so far as to say that he “can’t wait” to see Jada in the sequel.
Without hesitating, Will got up from his seat and marched onstage. He then approached Chris and slapped him across the face before returning to his seat.
“Keep my wife’s name out your [expletive] mouth,” Will screamed once he’d sat back down.

Repercussions For Will
Will still won the Best Actor Oscar for King Richard later that night. However, he was forced to resign from the Academy because of the slap. Will was also banned from attending the Oscars for the next ten years. While he can still be nominated, Will won’t be able to attend to accept the award in person if he wins.
Will issued an apology at the time. He admitted that he was “out of line” and “wrong.” He also said that his actions are “not indicative of the man I want to be.”
Will then said that “a joke about Jada’s medical condition [due to alopecia] was too much for me to bear and I reacted emotionally.” However, he was quick to add that this did not make his actions right, and that what he did was “unacceptable and inexcusable.”
It seems that Will and Chris won’t be making peace anytime soon. In the end, there’s no doubt that Will slapping Chris will go down in history as one of the most shocking Oscars moments of all time.
