Whoopi Goldberg spoke out this week to launch a truly vile attack on the First Lady Melania Trump. This came after Melania publicly condemned the violence that is currently happening in Minnesota.
Goldberg Attacks Melania
On Wednesday’s episode of her ABC talk show The View, Goldberg and her co-hosts played back a clip from the day before. In it, Melania, 55, said that she is “against the violence” in Minneapolis. She also made a point of calling for “unity.”
“I know my husband, the president, had a great call yesterday with the governor and the mayor and they’re working together to make it peaceful, and without riots,” Melania said. “I’m against the violence, so, please, if you protest, protest in peace.”
This didn’t sit well with Goldberg, 70. Once the clip ended, the broadcast reverted back to Goldberg, who had hr mouth agape and a visibly cartoonish face of confusion.
“Who was that?!” Goldberg sarcastically questioned. “She looks so familiar, I don’t know who she was. Who was that?!”
Goldberg proceeded to turn to her longtime executive producer Brian Teta to jokingly demand clarification as she continued this gag.
“That was the first lady,” Teta said with a smile.
Co-host Sunny Hostin chimed in to say that Melania had issued this call for “unity” in front of a banner promoting her upcoming documentary Melania, which drops on Amazon on Friday, January 30.
“Oh, well that’s why she’s against violence,” Goldberg fired back. “OK! Well, OK, I can’t remember the last time I saw her. I was so excited!”

Goldberg’s Previous Rant
This came one day after Goldberg became emotional over the death of Alex Pretti. He was fatally shot by ICE agents in Minneapolis on Saturday, January 24. According to Goldberg, Pretti’s death was a “murder.”
Goldberg flew into a rage after playing a clip in which the Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem revealed that Pretti’s death was under “investigation.”
“I don’t know what you’re investigating if you are not investigating the straight up murder – the straight up murder,” Goldberg lamented. “This is the second one. The second murder of an American citizen.”
This was a reference to the recent fatal shooting of another Minneapolis protester, Renee Good, earlier this month.”
“You see it. You’re not blind,” Goldberg continued. “And if you don’t see it, it’s willful because you’re not looking You can’t sit by this. Kristi Noem, you can’t justify this. Mr. [Greg] Bovino, you can’t justify this. You can’t justify either one. And we all see it. And we see you for what you are. You all have blood on your hands.”
