X‑Men actor Tyler Mane has revealed he has been diagnosed with male breast cancer. The condition affects only around one percent of all breast‑cancer patients.

Announcing Diagnosis

The 59‑year‑old star, best known for playing Sabertooth in the Marvel franchise, shared the news in a candid Instagram video this week.

He told fans, “Yep. I have breast cancer. And yep, it’s super rare,” explaining that his first instinct was to keep the diagnosis private.

Mane said embarrassment and stigma often stop men from seeking help – something he now realizes can be dangerous.

He said, “Men are more likely to be diagnosed in advanced stages because it’s not talked about and not looked for.”

Mane revealed that several doctors initially dismissed the lump he found, and he only received an early diagnosis because his wife insisted he push for further testing.

He urged, “Let’s start talking about it. One in 755 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, and if caught early, it’s VERY treatable.”

Getting Treated & Thanking Fans

The actor, who shares two children with his first wife, Jean Goertz, and is now married to Halloween II co‑star Renae Geerlings, recently completed his second round of chemotherapy.

In a follow‑up video, he reassured supporters that he’s staying strong through treatment.

He said, “I got this. F*** cancer!”

Mane also thanked fans for the overwhelming support he’s received since going public.

He added, “Thank you so much for all the love… I’m gonna kick cancer’s a**. We need to spread the awareness. Cancer sucks, but if you catch it quick enough, you can win this battle.”
