Taylor Swift was left humiliated as she was booed at the country music legend Alan Jackson’s final concert on Saturday night.
Swift Booed At Jackson Concert
Jackson, 67, performed his last concert at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee over the weekend. During the show, Swift, 36, popped up on the big screen to send in a pre-taped video message.
Unfortunately for Swift, this backfired on her hard when she was caught on camera being booed by much of the audience as her message played for them.
“Hey Alan, it’s Taylor. I just want to say thank you for your decades of unbelievable songwriting and your performances. And the ways that you’ve given so much to us, the fans,” Swift said as the crowd audibly booed.
“I think my favorite song of yours was ‘Drive’ because in that song…you let us into the details of your life,” she continued. “And I know that that was an example that was so good for me to see at a young age. An artist just letting fans into the details of his life.”
“‘I appreciate you so much for the ways that you have just treated me and other artists and writers with such support and encouragement over the years. And I am so excited for you doing this show and just appreciate you so much,” Swift concluded. “Love you!”
In a TikTok video that has since gone viral, the crowd of Jackson fans could clearly be heard booing Swift.
“Not the reaction they were expecting I’m assuming,” the fan who posted the TikTok sarcastically wrote in the caption.

More Tributes For Jackson As He Retires
Swift wasn’t the only star who sent in a video tribute for Jackson’s “Last Call: One More for the Road – The Finale.” Indeed, others who sent in video messages included the country music stars Keith Urban, Zac Brown and Kenny Chesney.
Stars who performed tributes for Jackson included Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Riley Green, Cody Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Jake Owen, Jon Pardi, Thomas Rhett, George Strait, Carrie Underwood, Lainey Wilson and Lee Ann Womack.
Jackson announced that this would be his final show after a battling Charcot–Marie–Tooth disease for 15 years. This is “an inherited neurological disorder that affects the peripheral nerves responsible for transmitting signals between the brain, spinal cord and the rest of the body,” according to Daily Mail.
“It’s been affecting me for years, and it’s getting more and more obvious,” Jackson told TODAY back in 2021.
“And I know I’m stumbling around on stage,” he added at the time. “And now I’m having a little trouble balancing, even in front of the microphone, and so I just feel very uncomfortable.”
Throughout his decades-long career, Jackson has one two Grammys and sold over 75 million records worldwide. He is best known for his hit songs like “Chattahoochee,” “Livin’ on Love,” “Where Were You,” “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere” and “Remember When.”
Jackson’s Final Concert
Jackson’s final concert was delayed for about an hour due to a storm. This meant that he wasn’t able to take the stage until after 9:35pm. As soon as he got onstage, however, Jackson was met with roars of cheers from the crowd.
“It’s overwhelming,” Jackson said to the audience. He went on to assure them that he would not spend too much time on “that last show stuff … I’m not dead!”
Later in the show, Jackson talked about the power of “real country music.”
“If anyone has lived the American dream,” Jackson added towards the end of the show, “it’s me.”
Swift’s Wedding
As for Swift, who is a 14-time Grammy winner, reports have been swirling over her upcoming wedding to her fiancé, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Indeed, it is rumored that the wedding is set to take place in New York City this Friday, July 3.
Reports have alleged that guests were required to respond to their wedding invites with a signed NDA. Rumor has it that the ceremony will be taking place at Madison Square Garden. If not there, it is said to be happening at another similar arena or museum-like space.
Perhaps the fatigue over the mass speculation about Swift’s upcoming wedding are what led to this crowd of devoted country music fans brutally booing her at Jackson’s final concert.
Whether you like Swift or not, it can’t really be denied that she probably should have sat this one out. Given the reaction she got, Swift likely wishes she had right about now!
