Over the past few years, celebrities have been fleeing California in droves in search of better lives in other states. One of these celebrities is the Rocky star Sylvester Stallone, who left Hollywood in 2024 and moved to Florida with his wife Jennifer Flavin and their three daughters.
Flavin Gushes Over Florida Move
Now, Flavin is speaking out to make it clear that her family has no regrets about making this move. Indeed, she sees this move as being a “rebirth” their family.
“I’m having the time of my life. I feel like it’s been a rebirth for our family,” Flavin, 57, told Fox News. “Since my entire family moved to the East Coast, we’re having such a great time. It’s new friends, new adventures, really great people. I’ve met some incredible friends that I never had in L.A. Sly and I are so enjoying our time there.”
Flavin said this while accompanying Stallone, 79, to Sunday’s 48th Kennedy Center Honors. When Stallone was asked there about his thoughts on Florida, he replied, “a lot more perspiration.”
That’s for sure, Sly!
Stallone Is Loving Life In Florida
Stallone further opened up about his Florida move in another interview earlier this year.
“I love it,” Stallone told Fox News of the Sunshine State back in September. “First of all, the air seems to always be clean. We’re very, very near the water and that makes my wife incredibly happy. It makes me happy, and it’s just something about it. It’s just so lush.”
“I went to college there for a couple of years,” he concluded. “So, I’m not a stranger to the environment, but it fits my personality much better.”
Last year, on the season two premiere of their reality show The Family Stallone, Stallone revealed that his family was leaving California for good.
“After long, hard consideration, your mother and I have decided, time to move on and leave the state of California permanently, and we’re going to go to Florida,” Stallone was seen telling their three daughters Scarlet, 29, Sistine, 27, and Sophia, 23.
“We’re gonna sell this house,” he added. “We already have the place, it’s a done deal.”

Casey DeSantis, wife of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, took to social media at the time to welcome the Stallone family to the Sunshine State.
“Welcome to the Free State of Florida!” she wrote alongside the above clip. “In addition to respecting and protecting your God-given, constitutional right to be free, you can also buy toothpaste without having an armed guard in CVS unlock it for you.”
Stallone’s Lavish Palm Beach Mansion
The Stallones have settled in Palm Beach, where they bought a $35.4 million home. The mansion sits on approximately 1.5 lakefront acres. It also faces over 250 feet of beach with a dock.
“It’s an incredible move, I have to say I’m really happy with our move and our change,” Flavin, 57, said in a previous interview.
“I was born and raised there, two of our kids were born there, but now everyone’s out, our daughters moved to the East Coast. So there wasn’t really anything left for me in California,” she continued. “A few of our best friends also moved, so I think it’s [a] good change, just making new friends, living a totally different lifestyle, I love it, I’m really happy.”
Given the high taxes, rampant crime rates, and overwhelming homelessness in California, it’s no wonder that many celebrities like the Stallones are fleeing the state. If California wants to keep the bulk of their rich and famous, perhaps they should reconsider some of the radically liberal policies that many feel have run the state into the ground.
Here’s hoping that the Stallones continue to enjoy life in the great state of Florida for many years to come!
