It’s been two and a half months since the legendary Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne passed away at age 76 after a battle with Parkinson’s disease. Now, a sad update has come in about Ozzy’s beloved wife Sharon, who he was married to for 43 years.
Sharon Is ‘Not Okay’
Sharon, 72, is reportedly not coping well with the death of Ozzy, according to their son Jack, 39.
“You know, when people have been asking me that question, I say, ‘She’s okay, but she’s not okay’,” Jack told Good Morning America.
When asked if Sharon can “feel the affection and appreciation,” Jack replied, “Oh my god, yeah. I know she feels the love.”
“None of us expected it to be like this, with that outpour of love,” he continued. “Every child sits there and kind of has this thought about one day that parents won’t be there, and what will that be like. It’s just a part of being human. We just didn’t think of it. It was a different weight to it, you know?”
Jack is the youngest of Ozzy and Sharon’s three children. Indeed, they are also parents to daughters Aimee, 42, and Kelly, 40.
Sharon Breaks Her Silence
Ozzy was surrounded by his family when he died on July 22, 2025. Last month, Sharon broke her silence to speak out publicly about his death for the first time.
“I’m still having trouble finding the words to express how grateful I am for the overwhelming love and support you’ve shown on social media,” Sharon said at the time. “Your comments, posts, and tributes have brought me more comfort than you know.”
“None of it has gone unnoticed, in fact, it’s carried me through many nights,” she added. “Though I’m still finding my footing.”
Ozzy and Sharon had been married since 1982. Days before his death, Ozzy credited his longevity in life to his strong marriage to Sharon.
“If it wasn’t for Sharon Osbourne, I wouldn’t be here now,” he admitted. “I would definitely not have the success I have. I wouldn’t be sober. I’d be six foot under without a shadow of a doubt.”
“Because I didn’t drink any less or do any more drugs than any of them, but all the guys I used to do it with, they’re all dead, so there must be something I did right in the world,” Ozzy stated. “The one thing I did was have my Sharon.”
Sharon’s Friends Are ‘Terrified’ For Her
Immediately after Ozzy’s death, Sharon’s friends admitted that they were “terrified” for her.
“Sharon is very, very fragile,” a friend told Daily Mail after Ozzy’s passing. “She is so thin. She is not well. We are all terrified for her health at this point.”
“This is the heaviest blow,” the friend added. “Ozzy was her life. The whole point of her life was him. They were each other’s best friend. We don’t know what she will do or how she will cope.”
Sadly, it appears that grieving Ozzy hasn’t gotten any easier for Sharon in the subsequent months.
Ozzy was undeniably the love of Sharon’s life. That’s why it’s completely understandable that his death has rocked her to her very core. We can only hope that Sharon is able to weather this storm and move on with her life in a positive way. In the end, that’s exactly what Ozzy would want her to do.
