It’s been one year since Rosie O’Donnell fled America and moved to Ireland. She did this in response to Donald Trump’s second presidential victory. Now, O’Donnell is admitting that she’s quietly come crawling back. Indeed, it seems that life across the pond wasn’t all that O’Donnell thought that it would be.

O’Donnell Comes Crawling Back

O’Donnell, 63, called in to Chris Cuomo’s radio show, SiriusXM’s Cuomo Morning, last Friday. During their conversation, O’Donnell confessed that she recently returned to the United States.

“I was recently went home for two weeks and I did not really tell anyone, I just went to see my family,” O’Donnell said. She added that she “wanted to see how hard it would be for me to get in and out of the country. I wanted to feel what it felt like.”

“I wanted to hold my children again,” the mother of five continued. “And I hadn’t been home in over a year. I also wanted to make sure that it was safe for me before I brought my daughter this summer, where we plan to spend the summertime off from her schooling here with my family.”

O’Donnell ‘Very Excited’ To Return To America

O’Donnell went on to say that one of her sons is expecting his first child, so she is “very excited to be home.” However, O’Donnell also did not miss the opportunity to bash the America that she so clearly missed while abroad. According to her, her native New York City feels “like a very different country” these days under Trump.

“[It’s] a very different place for me because, for a year, I haven’t been watching the news,” O’Donnell alleged. “I haven’t been watching American culture television. I’ve been in a place where celebrity worship does not exist.”

Despite her eagerness to return to America, O’Donnell claims to have no regrets about fleeing the country.

“I don’t regret leaving at all,” she stated. “I think I did what I needed to do to save myself, my child and my sanity.”

“The energy that I felt while in the United States… it was scary,” she added. “There’s a feeling that something is really wrong and no one is doing anything about it.”

O’Donnell’s Trump Derangement Syndrome

O’Donnell has long had one of the worst cases of Trump derangement syndrome of anyone in the entertainment world. Given how despised Trump is among celebrities, that’s saying a lot!

O’Donnell previously admitted that even her own therapist is tired of hearing about how much she obsessively despises Trump. She made this humiliating confession while being interviewed by the MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace on her podcast “The Best People” back in September.

“What he’s done now hasn’t even hit us yet,” whined O’Donnell. “And if he’s not stopped now, we have lost our country. I don’t know, Nicolle, how it is that some people cannot see it. My therapist said, ‘Why are you so upset?’ And I said to her, ‘Why are you not?”

O’Donnell ‘Can’t Resist’ Bashing Trump

O’Donnell later confessed to The Washington Post that she promised her therapist the Wednesday before Thanksgiving that she wouldn’t post about Trump for two days. Unfortunately for everyone, this promise fell apart within just a few hours.

According to O’Donnell, she “can’t resist” speaking out against Trump. This anti-Trump obsession is what led to O’Donnell moving to Ireland.

In June of last year, O’Donnell admitted to Cuomo in another interview that she fled America because of Trump’s second presidential victory. She even described this move as being one of “self-preservation,” since she greatly struggled during Trump’s first presidency.

“During his first go-round, it was very difficult, and I got myself into some bad places,” said O’Donnell. “You know, I was very, very depressed. I was overeating, I was overdrinking. I was so depressed, Chris.”

Trump Fires Back

Meanwhile, President Trump has made it clear that he doesn’t give a hoot what O’Donnell thinks of him.

“Rosie O’Donnell clearly suffers from a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome, and it’s better for the entire country that she decided to move away,” White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson previously told Fox News.

Despite her obsessive hatred for Trump, O’Donnell could still barely make it a year living outside of America before she came crawling back. In the end, it’s clear that she’s learned the hard way that America truly is the best country in the world.

Good riddance, Rosie O’Donnell!
