Prince Harry has reportedly been left feeling both “humiliated” and “emasculated” by Meghan Markle’s latest confession about their dating life.
Harry Allegedly ‘Furious’ With Meghan
Harry, 40, is reportedly “furious” at Meghan, 44, after she revealed in season two of her Netflix series With Love, Meghan that he was the first to declare his love for her when they were dating. According to Meghan, Harry said “I love you” first in the early weeks of their courtship.
“Harry is seething,” a source closer to the couple to the couple told Radar Online. “He feels Meghan has made him look weak by boasting he was the first one to drop the love bomb. For a man who has spent his life trying to project strength, it stings. He told friends it makes him feel less of a man.”
“Meghan thought it was sweet to share, but Harry believes their private moments are being turned into entertainment and he wishes she would just shut up and stop making him look like her puppet,” another insider chimed in to add.
Meghan’s ‘L Word’ Claim
In With Love, Meghan season two, Meghan gleefully reminisced about her and Harry’s third date in Botswana.
“We met in Botswana and we camped for five days together,” Meghan recalled during a conversation with the Queer Eye star Tan France, who was a guest on her show.
“You really get to know each other when you’re in a little tent together,” Meghan said.
Tan then asked who was the first to say the “L word.” Meghan blushed in response before claiming “He told me.”
“She’s still got it,” Meghan joked as she flicked her ponytail playfully.
This didn’t sit well with Harry, who is livid about Meghan’s comments.
“He’s proud of his relationship, but he doesn’t want to be cast as the lovestruck puppy,” a third insider alleged. “He’s been venting that Meghan’s oversharing makes him feel emasculated.”
“Moments like this cut deep,” this source explained. “He wants to be seen as strong, not the man who fell harder and faster. It’s bruising for him.”
Harry And Meghan’s Netflix Downgrade
This comes at a difficult time for Harry and Meghan. Last month, Netflix declined to renew the $100 million contract that they signed back in 2020. Instead, Netflix has given them a “multi-year, first look deal for film and television projects.” This “downgrade” is the same one that Netflix gave to Barack and Michelle Obama.
“In practice, it is a downgrade from the 2020 overall deal that birthed Harry & Meghan, Polo and With Love, Meghan, among other projects,” The Hollywood Reporter reported.
“The overall-to-first-look extension mirrors the move Netflix made recently with the Obamas — as well as others — for their Higher Ground banner,” the publication continued. “In both cases, the exclusivity carried by their respective, splashy original deals has been removed.”
Needless to say, this came as bad news for Harry and Meghan.
“Netflix isn’t giving them blank checks anymore,” said an insider. “They’re picking and choosing, and that pressure is showing on Harry and Meghan.”
Meghan has claimed that she will be married to Harry “forever.” After her latest revelation about their dating life, however, it seems that there could be some trouble in paradise. It will certainly be interesting to see where Meghan and Harry go from here!
