Last week, we reported that Prince Andrew’s alleged past “rude” behavior towards Kate Middleton had come back to haunt him, as Prince William was plotting his revenge on his uncle.
Now, things have gotten even worse for Andrew, as the alleged truth about his former friendship with the late billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein are coming to light.
Andrew’s Alleged Bond With Epstein
Andrew, 65, is the subject of the explosive new book “Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York.” In it, author Andrew Lownie alleges that Andrew and Epstein bonded over “money and sex.”
“I think the reason that Epstein and Andrew were such good friends was that they were interested in the same stuff, basically money and sex,” Lownie bluntly told Fox News. “Andrew gave Epstein respectability and some useful contacts from his role as a special trade envoy.”
“And for Andrew, Epstein provided someone who would pay [his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson’s] bills, someone who provided a ready supply of women and also, as he said in the Newsnight interview, had some useful contacts for him,” he continued. “It was a win-win situation for both of them.”
In his book, Lownie alleged that Epstein made some disturbing comments about Andrew back in 2007.
“We are very similar, we are both serial sex addicts,” Epstein allegedly said of Andrew. “We have shared the same women. From the reports I’ve got back from them, he’s the most perverted animal in the bedroom. He likes to engage in stuff that’s even kinky to me – and I’m the king of kink!”
Andrew And Epstein Were ‘Extremely Close’
Lownie made similar allegations in the 2023 A&E docuseries Secrets of Prince Andrew.
“[Andrew and Epstein] became extremely close,” Lownie claimed at the time. “You know, real best buddies. There were seven different numbers for Andrew in Epstein’s little black book. He had the most intimate details of Andrew’s life. Epstein said, ‘There’s only one person who likes sex more than me, and that’s Andrew.’”
According to Lownie, Andrew’s sexual appetite made him an easy target for Epstein.
“I think it was very easy for Epstein to prey on Andrew because he knew he had these weaknesses,” Lownie explained. “One was his greed and the need to pay off Fergie’s debts. And the other was that he had this sexual addiction, rather like Epstein. Epstein needed constant sexual gratification, and Andrew was the same. He was not ruled, shall we say, by his head in a lot of these things.”
Andrew was long known as the late Queen Elizabeth’s personal favorite of her four children. Lownie claimed that he was shocked to discover that the Queen allegedly spent years shutting down negative stories about Andrew, just to protect him.
“When complaints were brought to her about his behavior, whether it was his financial irregularities or his sexual behavior, she didn’t want to know… that was a shocking thing [to me],” Lownie stated. “We thought the queen put the monarchy ahead of her own family, but here she clearly had a soft spot for her son.”
Epstein Reportedly Played Andrew
In the end, Lownie claims that it is easy to see “how Epstein played Andrew.”
“The prince was a useful idiot who gave him respectability and access to political leaders and business opportunities,” he wrote. “What drew Andrew to Epstein? An opportunity to join the super-rich and a lifestyle to which the duke had long aspired, a supply of available women, a chance to make money himself, and someone who would bankroll his life as well as settle his ex-wife’s debts.”
“Both men, ostensible friends, used each other, but it was an unequal relationship,” Lownie concluded. “According to one of Prince Andrew’s friends, Epstein to Andrew ‘was like putting a rattlesnake in an aquarium with a mouse.’”
When contacted for comment on these claims, Buckingham Palace refused to issue a statement. Instead, palace officials would only point out that Andrew is no longer a working royal, so they can no longer speak for him.
Epstein allegedly committed suicide in 2019 while behind bars awaiting trial for his sex crimes. That same year, Andrew stepped down as a working royal. This came after his infamously disastrous Newsnight interview in which he tried to explain his friendship with Epstein.
Unfortunately for Andrew, however, this interview backfired, as it only made him look more suspicious. In the years since then, Andrew has been trying to lay low. Despite this, Andrew continues to reside at Royal Lodge under a long-term lease from the Crown Estate. Insiders, however, are alleging that William is plotting to give Andrew the boot from this royal estate as soon as he becomes King.
With more of Andrew’s alleged past ties seemingly coming to light, only time will tell how much longer he will be permitted to remain at Royal Lodge. It will certainly be interesting to see how the royal family responds to this!
