Fans were devastated when Pat Sajak retired from Wheel of Fortune back in June, after providing wholesome family entertainment for a whopping 43 years. He was then replaced by Ryan Seacrest when Wheel of Fortune returned in September.

In the months since then, Seacrest has struggled to win over fans (though ratings don’t seem to be hurting too badly!) Now, fans are taking to social media to reveal exactly what they miss about Sajak.

Fans Miss Sajak

“First off, I really like Ryan and think he has been a great replacement,” one fan wrote on the social media site Reddit. “But what I miss the most from Pat is when a contestant would say ‘I’ll take it’ after he announced their total winnings, and he would reply: ‘You have to, it’s in the rules.’ I don’t know why but that made me laugh every single time he said it lol.”

“I miss Pat’s sense of humor! Those corny jokes always cracked me up,” another fan commented in agreement. A third person wrote, “I do miss some of his quips and ad libs. Ryan’s done this a little bit but mostly just during the contestant interviews.”

“I just miss his ability to say the right words (or know when not to say anything) at all times,” someone else commented of Sajak. “He was all positivity. He never made a single viewer or contestant uncomfortable even for a split second. Socially, he was perfect.”

Sajak Retires From Wheel Of Fortune

This comes after Sajak bid an emotional farewell to Wheel of Fortune in June.

“Well, the time has come to say goodbye,” Sajak said at the time. “I have a few thanks and acknowledgments before I go, and I want to start with all watching out there. It’s been an incredible privilege to be invited into millions of homes night after night, year after year, decade after decade.”

“I always felt that the privilege came with the responsibility to keep this daily half hour a safe place for family fun,” he continued. “No social issues, no politics, nothing embarrassing I hope, just a game.”

“But gradually it became more than that,” Sajak admitted. ” A place where kids learned their letters, where people from other countries honed their English skills, where families came together along with friends and neighbors, and entire generations. What an honor to play even a small part in all of that. Thank you for allowing me into your lives.”

Seacrest Is ‘Feeling The Pressure’

Seacrest has reportedly been “feeling the pressure” to fill Sajak’s shoes.

“Ryan is seriously feeling the pressure and wondering if there’s just no winning this fight,” an insider told Radar Online earlier this month. “Everything he tries on the show seems to spark an outcry, and he’s already fed up with the fan backlash.”

“He’s getting the very distinct impression nothing will make them happy short of Pat coming out of retirement and hosting the show again,” the source continued. “Ryan feels a ton of pressure because of his salary and the expectations that producers have set.”

While Seacrest is a talented television host, there is simply nobody like Sajak. We can also say that we miss Sajak dearly, and we wish he’d come back to Wheel of Fortune!
