Over the past few weeks, rumors have been swirling that Barack and Michelle Obama are headed for divorce. On top of that, the famous Presidential couple have dealt with rumors that Barack was dating the former Friends star Jennifer Aniston.
Now, insiders are alleging that the divorce rumors have reached such a “fever pitch” that the Obamas’ A-list Hollywood friends have been “forced to pick sides.”
Obamas’ A-List Friends ‘Forced To Pick Sides’
“The level of rumor and speculation around the Obamas’ marriage has hit a fever pitch,” one insider told Radar Online. “It’s been made worse by the fact that neither Barack nor Michelle have addressed it.”
Eyebrows were definitely raised when Barack attended President Trump’s inauguration alone back in January, in addition to former President Jimmy Carter’s funeral.
“And because they have such deep and long-lasting ties to a whole array of Hollywood figures, people who know them and who are fond of them are bracing for bad news and scenario-planning for what comes next if they really do end their marriage,” the source explained.
The source added that “… people are going to have to pick sides. Michelle will see to it.”
Here’s The ‘Tricky’ Part
The source went on to elaborate on who some specific A-listers would pick between Barack and Michelle.
“Ellen DeGeneres has a famously close relationship with Michelle, who was on Ellen’s now-defunct talk show multiple times, while Barack is well known to have authentic friendships with the likes of Bruce Springsteen and George Clooney,” the insider stated.
“The part that gets tricky is if the hypothetical split becomes acrimonious,” the source admitted. “Nobody wants to get on either of the Obamas’ enemies list – but you can’t rule out the possibility of that happening. All of their Hollywood pals are very much in wait-and-see mode as the rumors continue to circulate.”
The insider concluded by claiming that Barack and Michelle’s Hollywood friends find it “suspicious” that the former first couple has yet to publicly shoot down the divorce rumors.
“The Obamas are beyond the point where they need to do something publicly – like take a romantic vacation or kiss in public – to shut down all the rumors and speculation,” the source alleged. “It’s suspicious that they haven’t taken that step yet, and it’s making their famous friends in Hollywood nervous.”

Obama Divorce Rumors
Rumors have been spreading about the Obamas potentially divorcing for months. Michelle only fueled these rumors last month when she skipped both the funeral of Jimmy Carter and the inauguration of Donald Trump, leaving Barack to attend all by his lonesome.
“I have been hearing this rumor that the Obamas are getting a divorce by reputable people. I’m not talking about TMZ, I’m not talking about Perez Hilton, although I love him, he’s my friend,“ Meghan McCain said on political reporter Tara Palmeri’s podcast last month. ”I’m talking about like very serious journalists telling me that they’re hearing that the Obama divorce rumors are true.”
“We’ve heard that for a long time,” replied Tara, who has long covered Washington politics. “Like I just heard that they live separate lives.”

Jennifer Aniston Denies Dating Barack
Meanwhile, the actress Jennifer Aniston has been forced to deny rumors that she’s dating Barack. She was asked directly about these rumors in an interview with the late night host Jimmy Kimmel back in October.
“I was not mad at it, but that is absolutely untrue,” Jennifer said of the rumors.
“I’ve met him [Barack] once. I know Michelle more than him,” she then claimed, alleging that she only met the former president at a 2007 Hollywood gala before he took office.
