It’s been nearly four weeks since Nancy Guthrie, the 84 year-old mother of the TODAY s how host Savannah Guthrie, went missing from her home in Tucson, Arizona. Earlier this week, we reported that Savannah has announced that her family is offering a reward of up to $1 million for information that leads to her mother’s return.

Now, insiders are saying that Savannah, 54, is preparing to leave Arizona and return to her life in New York City as Nancy remains missing.

Savannah Preparing NYC Return

Savannah, who is the mother of two young children and married to former Democratic political adviser Michael Feldman, has decided that it’s time to get back to her normal life despite this horrific event.

“She can’t stay in Arizona forever,” a source told Daily Mail. “Her kids and her life are in New York City. It’s what her mom would want her to do. Nancy was Savannah’s biggest cheerleader.”

“The family is coming to terms with the fact that this might take years,” the insider added. “Savannah is craving normalcy.”

Another source said, “She has been remarkable. Strong, composed, faithful — even when she’s breaking inside.”

This insider went on to reference new suspicions that the kidnapper may have had an accomplice.

“They might have taken her mother, but Savannah will not let them destroy her life too,” the source said. “Obviously, if there is a big break in the case, Savannah will be heading back to Tucson.”

Savannah Announces $1 Million Reward

This comes after Savannah announced that her family is offering a $1 million reward for information that leads to the return of her mother. She did so in an emotional video posted to Instagram.

“It is day 24 since our mom was taken in the dark of night from her bed,” Savannah said. “And every hour and minute and second and every long night has been agony since then. Worrying for her, fearing for her, aching for her.”

“We still believe, we still believe in a miracle. We still believe that she can come home,” she continued. “Hope against hope, as my sister says, we are blowing on the embers of hope.”

Savannah went on to become visibly emotional as she publicly admitted for the first time that her mother may be dead.

“We also know that she may be lost, she may already be gone. She may have already gone home to the lord that she loves,” the longtime TODAY host said. “But we need to know where she is. We need her to come home. For that reason, we are offering a family reward of up to $1 million for any information that leads us to her recovery.”

“Somebody knows and we are begging you to please come forward now,” Savannah stated. “Tell us what you know and help us bring our beloved mom home so that we can either celebrate a glorious, miraculous homecoming or celebrate the beautiful, brave and courageous and noble life that she lived.”

Nancy Disappears

Nancy was last seen on the night of Saturday, January 31. That evening, she had gone to dinner with her daughter Annie and her son-in-law Tommaso Cioni. They brought her home at around 9:45pm that night, and she has not been seen since. It is believed that Nancy was kidnapped from her home in the early hours of February 1.

A masked intruder was captured on Nancy’s doorbell ring camera just before she was taken. He managed to cover it with some plants before moving forward with the kidnapping. It was revealed this week that the masked man had been seen in the doorbell ring camera prior to the night Nancy was taken. This indicates that he may have been casing out her home.

This has clearly been an extremely tragic and horrifying situation for the entire Guthrie family. Please join us in saying a prayer for them, and for the safe return of Nancy Guthrie.
