The world was shocked on Wednesday when the disgraced music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs was found not guilty on three of the five federal charges that he was facing. Now, the ex-Fox News host Megyn Kelly is firing back by eviscerating the jurors who acquitted him on these charges.

Kelly Sounds Off

Diddy, 55, was only found guilty of the Mann Act Transportation of both Cassie Ventura and a former girlfriend going by the pseudonym Jane. Indeed, these were the lesser of the five charges that he was facing. Diddy was found not guilty of count one, the alleged racketeering conspiracy. He was also found not guilty of count two and count four, the sex trafficking of Ventura and Jane.

This didn’t sit well with Kelly, who responded straightaway on her eponymous SiriusXM show on Wednesday.

“Sean Combs has been found not guilty on the majority of counts against him and has been found guilty of only the two least serious crimes that he was charged with,” said Kelly, 54. “There is little question that this is a defeat for the prosecution.”

“The two counts on which he’s been found guilty are transportation to engage in prostitution,” she continued. “There were two counts of it with respect to Cassie Ventura and Jane, who testified under a pseudonym, and he has been found not guilty on racketeering, not guilty on sex trafficking, with respect to Cassie Ventura and with respect to Jane.”

‘He’s Guilty As Sin’

Kelly went on to say that she found it “stunning” that Diddy was found not guilty of these charges. This left Kelly disgusted with the jurors who came to this decision, especially after Ventura’s testimony.

“What we’re seeing here is the jury bought and believed the defense argument that these women had agency, that these women were not forced to do anything,” she stated. “The defense got up there and argued that they were swingers, that they were engaging in a swinger lifestyle, notwithstanding the beatings it took to get them to comply in certain instances. The jury clearly bought that.”

Kelly later acknowledged that the public should not “scoff at the conclusion entirely.” She admitted that there was some “testimony to support a not guilty [verdict].” However, she also insisted that Diddy “got away with serious felonies, in my view. He’s guilty as sin, in my view, and this jury just gave him a total pass.”

Not stopping there, Kelly expressed her belief that the ruling is “ridiculous.” She added that it is “absolutely outrageous the amount of crime that this guy just got away with.”

Kelly ended her rant by sending a warning to Diddy.

“I will make it my personal mission to maintain his humiliation in the minds of all Americans,” Kelly concluded.

Diddy Denied Bail

After the verdict was read, U.S. District Court Judge Arun Subramanian denied Diddy bail. Instead, Diddy will remain locked up at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn until his sentencing on October 3.

“It is impossible for the defendant to demonstrate by clear and convincing evidence that he poses no danger,” Judge Subramanian said.

The judge pointed out that Diddy’s own legal team had admitted that “we own the domestic violence” in regards to Ventura’s domestic abuse allegations against him.

“You full-throatedly in your closing argument told the jury that there was violence here,” Judge Subramanian told Diddy’s attorneys.

Diddy has been behind bars since September of last year. In the lead-up to his trial, he was repeatedly denied bail. This is because he was deemed to be too much of a flight risk.

What Will Diddy’s Sentence Be?

Diddy had been facing life in prison if convicted on all charges. Now, he is facing a maximum of 20 years in prison. However, former federal prosecutor Mitchell Epner believes that Diddy’s sentence will ultimately be much lighter than that.

“The convictions for interstate transportation for purposes of prostitution likely will lead to a sentence that will be measured in months, not years,” Epner told The New York Post. “The starting point under the US Sentencing Guidelines will be a sentencing range of 15 to 21 months.”

Meanwhile, Neama Rahmani, a former federal prosecutor and legal commentator, agreed that Diddy will likely not be sentenced to too much time.

“He is likely going to get little to no time,” Rahmani told People Magazine. “He may even get time served and prostitution has a 10 year maximum. But the fact that he was acquitted of the most serious counts, the government would not have brought this case had they thought they could only get prostitution.”

“[This was] a huge overwhelming win by the defense and a tremendous loss for the prosecution,” he concluded. “There is no other way to spin it. This is the most expensive prostitution trial in American history.”

Many agree with Kelly that this was a serious miscarriage of justice, and that Diddy should never be a free man again. Only time will tell what Diddy’s sentence will be!
