The golf legend Tiger Woods was arrested for DUI on Friday, March 27. Shocking police body camera footage has since been released showing his arrest.
After watching the footage, Megyn Kelly has had enough of Woods. Indeed, she’s firing back by eviscerating him for the behavior that he displayed in a big way.
Kelly Slams Woods
Woods, 50, flipped over his Land Rover twice near his home in Jupiter, Florida. At one point in the lengthy police body camera footage, Woods brags about the putter in his vehicle that “won 14 majors.” He also discusses potentially playing The Majors, which begin this week. Instead, Woods has been flown to Switzerland for rehab.
When a police officer called Woods over at one point, the legendary golfer put his phone down and said that he was talking “to the President.”
Woods has long been close to President Donald Trump. While it’s unclear who called who here, Kelly is confident that it was Woods who initiated contact.
“We now know he called President Trump,” she said on the latest episode of The Megyn Kelly Show. “As soon as he rolled the car, got out of it and the cops were there, he called the President.”
“Which is a [expletive] move, I think. It’s very clear he called to try to get out of this somehow,” Kelly continued. “There’s a statement where he later says to the cops on the scene ‘he was very apologetic for what he did last night’. The night before, Trump had been on Fox News and said I don’t think Tiger is going to play The Masters this year.”
Kelly Doubles Down
Kelly went on to reference the connections Woods has with the entire Trump family.
“Keep in mind he knows Tiger. They are friends from the golf course. And Trump’s former daughter-in-law, Vanessa Trump, is now dating him – Don Jr.’s ex,” she pointed out. “So it sounds like Trump said something he wasn’t at liberty to say and had apologized to Tiger in that phone call.”
“I suppose there is a chance Trump called Tiger to apologize just in the few seconds after the rollover!” Kelly added. “But I am going to go with Tiger called him and asked for some help because he knew it would be a PR disaster, possibly a legal one.”
Kelly concluded by saying that Woods seemed to get away with far more than most as police assessed the scene of his crash.
“The whole thing has got privilege written all over it,” she argued. “You and I rolling a vehicle, pupils dilated and walk away?”

Trump Defends Woods
President Trump spoke out to defend Woods in the wake of his arrest.
“He tested negative for alcohol, as you know, he is under a tremendous physical pressure from his various ailments, you know, the back and the leg,” Trump said. “He doesn’t have an alcohol problem, but he does have pain.”
Woods previously shattered his leg in a California car crash in 2021. Back in October, Woods underwent his seventh back surgery. On top of that, he had to have surgery in March of 2025 after tearing his Achilles.
Days after his arrest, Woods issued a statement pledging to seek help with handling his prescription medication.
“I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today,” Woods said. “I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery.”
“I’m committed to taking the time needed to return in a healthier, stronger and more focused place, both personally and professionally,” he concluded. “I appreciate your understanding and support, and ask for privacy for my family, loved ones and myself at this time.”
While some will certainly agree with Kelly’s critiques of Woods’ behavior, others will just hope that he gets the help that he deserves. Only time will tell how this all turns out for Tiger Woods.
