Earlier this week, we reported that Meghan Markle’s new Netflix show With Love, Meghan had been panned by fans and critics alike.
It was thought to be a make-or-break moment for Markle, but somehow, she came through!
In a shocking twist, Netflix has renewed With Love, Meghan for a second season despite the negative reviews of the first.
Meghan Learns Her Fate
Meghan, 43, was quick to celebrate this news on her Instagram page.
“Oh, how I love ASMR!” Meghan wrote in the caption. ‘If you’re loving Season 1, just wait until you see the fun we cooked up on Season 2! Thanks for joining the party, and an endless thanks to the amazing team and crew who helped bring it all to life!”
The renewal came as a shock to many, as With Love, Meghan has been widely panned all week. However, it seems that Netflix believes that all publicity is good publicity, and is happy that people are talking about the show.
“This may raise a few eyebrows but one thing which Netflix loves is controversy – and this show certainly created a lot of debate,” a TV insider told The Sun.
“Many were so scathing about the eight-part series that they thought there was no way it would get another season,” the source added. “But it seems the streamer is delighted with the chatter its created on both sides of the Atlantic this week.”

Meghan Loved Doing This Series
Meghan has made it clear that she loved working on this series.
“The series is about doing what you can do, and doing it with love,” she told People Magazine earlier this week.
Before marrying Prince Harry in 2018, Meghan ran a lifestyle blog called The Tig. However, she shut down this blog after news of her relationship with Harry broke.
“Well, I loved The Tig, but I certainly love my husband more,” Meghan said of this decision. “So that was a choice I made at then time, and I wouldn’t change that for a second.”
As she looks to the future, Meghan wants the world to know that she’s open to whatever is coming next for her.
“Can you imagine? This is just the beginning. Life is full of surprises,” she said. “And my gosh, in 10 years, Archie will be driving!”
This was a reference to Meghan and Harry’s son Archie, who will be turning 6 in May. They also have a daughter named Lilibet, who is three years-old.
In the end, Meghan is just trying to stay in the moment.
“I’m just trying to embrace every single day,” Meghan concluded.

Royal Experts Slam With Love, Meghan
This comes after With Love, Meghan was panned by royal experts.
“This isn’t innovative, it’s backwards,” Kinsey Schofield, host of the “To Di For Daily” podcast, told Fox News. “The projects themselves aren’t original. It lacks authenticity. It’s aesthetically pleasing but not where the content world is at right now. It’s too controlled. Too glossy. Too produced.”
British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard agreed, saying that Meghan’s show “appears mundane and lacks wow factor.”
“Meghan seems eager to play the altruistic, kind soul, but it is a tad smarmy,” Chard lamented. “My toes are curling… This is so cringey and not fun at all. It feels too staged, and the tips and tricks are far too basic… Meghan comes across as a modern Stepford Wife.”
Meghan is undoubtedly over the moon that her show will be coming back to Netflix. It remains to be seen if she can win over more people in season two.
