Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly “living separate lives” six years after they stepped down as senior royals. Indeed, friends of the couple are now allegedly fearing that their marriage will “not survive.”
Meghan, Harry ‘Living Separate Lives’
Insiders told Radar Online that Harry, 41, and Meghan, 44, are essentially husband and wife “in name only.”
“What I’m told is they’re pretty much now living separate lives. She has her friends, he has his friends, they are pretty much living… they don’t share anything in common,” claimed Hollywood insider Rob Shuter. “They don’t really have any common interests apart from the Sussex brand.”
“He’s Mr. Mom. He’s with the kids a lot,” Shuter continued. According to him, Harry spends most of his time at his Montecito, California home with his and Meghan’s children Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 4.
“I’m told now that their interests were never aligned, but they tried to figure out things that they could do together,” Shuter added. “And now that all those business projects have broken up, they have separate friends.”
Shuter went on to allege that Harry “has no friends” even though he’s lived in Montecito for six years. He also said that Harry has grown tired of playing Hollywood games. Meanwhile, Meghan is still obsessed with hanging out in billionaire circles.
“So, Megan still has this burning ambition to be around rich people,” Shuter stated. “She’ll jump on a plane if you’re rich enough. If you are famous enough, she’ll make an effort.”
In contrast, Harry has had enough of groveling to the wealthy for attention.
“He’s given up. He doesn’t want to do this anymore. He’s a goddamn prince in his mind. And he does not think he should be jumping. People should be coming to him, not him going to them,” Shuter concluded of Harry. “And so I hear that this is now pretty much a marriage in name only.”
Meghan, Harry’s Marriage May ‘Not Survive’
Last month, sources close to the couple claimed that their friends are afraid that they may soon split.
“People in their world are starting to have very real fears that the marriage will not survive,” a source told Radar Online. “The tension is getting worse all the time.”
According to this insider, Harry is fuming over Meghan showing off their two children on social media. This hasn’t sat well with Harry, who wants their children to have private lives out of the public eye.
“He does not want them paraded around or thrust into the spotlight and yet Meghan continues to totally defy his wishes,” the source alleged. “Meghan is very much the boss in the relationship. She controls almost every aspect of Harry’s life both personally and professionally. And the way she’s bulldozing ahead with putting the kids on social media is a prime example of Meghan doing what she wants, whether Harry likes it or not.”
“It’s triggering. As a kid, he hated it when he and [brother Prince William] were forced to pose for photographers during their private moments,” the insider continued. “The fact that his own kids are now being trotted out by Meghan in a similar fashion is not OK with him, but ultimately, what can he do? This [is] how Meghan controls him.”
‘Meghan Has Really Changed…’
This has reportedly led to serious tension in Meghan and Harry’s marriage.
“Meghan has really changed in Harry’s eyes,” the source claimed. “The Meghan he fell in love with had higher aspirations. He finds it pretty appalling that Meghan seems hell-bent on being this momfluencer character.”
Harry has been estranged from his family ever since he stepped down as a senior royal. Should he split from Meghan, it will certainly be interesting to see if they let him back in the fold. Only time will tell if Meghan and Harry’s marriage will actually survive.
