Kate Middleton and Prince William are reportedly planning to visit America this year. This visit is meant to mark the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in Washington, D.C.
This visit has reportedly caused Meghan Markle, the wife of Prince Harry, to become extremely “jealous.”
Meghan ‘Jealous’ Of William And Kate
“The Palace sees the U.S. tour as an opportunity to reassert their standing on the world stage, particularly in America,” an insider told OK Magazine. “William and Catherine represent stability, service and a kind of star power that does not rely on controversy. And officials believe their presence will naturally shift attention back in their direction without the need for confrontation.”
The source went on to say that officials see the tour as a statement of continuity at a time of uncertainty for the royal family.
American officials are reportedly set to welcome William, 43, and Kate, 44, with open arms. They reportedly view the couple as a reliable source of power, as they have a broad appeal.
In contrast, Meghan, 44, and Harry, 41, are seen as being deeply unhappy. Another source claimed that recent paparazzi images from the set of Meghan’s new film Close Personal Friends as well as Harry’s trip to Canada, which was arranged hastily, were specifically designed to compete with William’s recent official visit to Brazil.
“What was once subtle has now hardened into an unmistakable back-and-forth,” this source explained. “Every appearance, interview or carefully timed release is being weighed against what the other side is doing.”
“Meghan has made it clear behind closed doors that she feels constantly overshadowed and is deeply frustrated by repeatedly being eclipsed whenever William and Catherine step into the public eye,” the insider continued. “Their U.S. visit basically has her crippled with jealousy and rage, as she knows they will be the center of positive headlines in the States she can only dream of.”
Tensions Escalate
Tensions allegedly escalated when William and Kate recently attended the Royal Variety Performance in London. Meanwhile, Meghan simultaneously appeared on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar. There, she spoke about Harry’s devotion to her.
“From William and Catherine’s perspective, the ongoing jockeying for attention has become draining and counterproductive,” another source said. “They have little appetite for competing headlines or reactive publicity, which is why the U.S. tour is being viewed internally as a decisive reset. A clear, confident move that allows them to step forward on their own terms and reestablish their position without engaging in endless rivalry.”
President Donald Trump is reportedly commissioning a $300 million White House ballroom for the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence this summer. He’s said to have personally requested William and Kate attend the grand space. Trump is allegedly not inviting Meghan and Harry to do the same.
Kate, however, reportedly has concerns about Trump’s past ties to the late billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Given William’s uncle Prince Andrew’s own ties to Epstein, this is something that they are eager to avoid.
“William and Catherine are acutely aware of the media storm surrounding recent revelations. And understand how easily perception can shift,” a source said. “They know that any misstep risks conflicting with the monarchy’s carefully stated position on abuse allegations, which is something they take extremely seriously. Against that backdrop, the wider context of this visit makes the moment particularly sensitive.”
William And Kate Stay Focused
Despite this, another palace insider said that William and Kate remain extremely focused.
“At this stage, William and Catherine are operating with a clear sense of purpose and shared resolve,” this source concluded. “They are aligned in their thinking and focused on stability, leaving little tolerance for distractions or disorder, whether that stems from unresolved family issues or continued tensions with Harry and Meghan.”
It’s been six years since Meghan and Harry stepped down as senior royals. They then moved across the world to Southern California, where Meghan was born and raised.
In the years since then, Meghan and Harry have bashed the royal family seemingly every chance they’ve gotten. They’ve also been estranged from both William and Kate.
Clearly, there is still no love lost between these two couples. Time will tell if they can ever heal their rift, but it’s not looking good for them!
