In the years since then, Meghan and Harry. have tried to present a united front to the public. Indeed, they’ve made it clear that they want the world to believe that they are still madly in love.
Those close to the couple, however, are seeing something completely different behind the scenes. In fact, friends of Meghan and Harry’s now fear that they are actually in such a bad place that their marriage might be dead in the water. This comes as pressure is mounting for them in various aspects of their lives.
Tensions ‘Getting Worse’ Between Meghan And Harry
“People in their world are starting to have very real fears that the marriage will not survive,” a source told Radar Online. “The tension is getting worse all the time.”
Meghan, 44, was reportedly left “humiliated” at the end of last month when flirty private Facebook messages Harry exchanged with Mail on Sunday journalist Charlotte Griffiths were made public. They were released on March 31 as Harry’s unlawful information gathering court case against the outlet’s publisher, Associated Newspapers Limited (which has denied his claims), came to an end in London.
Charlotte nicknamed Harry “Mr. Mischief” and gushed over their “fun weekend of naughtiness” in the countryside in the 2011 and 2012 exchanges. Harry replied by writing, “I WISH I was there sugar,” and “I[I] miss our movie snuggles.” He even signed off one message by writing, “Mwah xxx.”
Harry claims that he cut off contact with Charlotte as soon as he learned that she was a reporter. Even so, they messages were “embarrassing” for Harry and Meghan, who reportedly felt “humiliated” and “blindsided” by them.
“Naturally, she’s wondering what else he may have hidden from her,” the insider said. “Truth is paramount to Markle, so him being dishonest or at best evasive about his past is hitting her hard.”

Meghan And Harry’s Parenting Disagreements
The source went on to say that Meghan and Harry have adopted an “‘us against the world’ mantra that’s defined their marriage.” However, the release of these messages “has given her cause to question that. It’s dramatically affected her level of trust.”
“She’s less inclined to run things by him or pander to his sensitivities right now,” the insider explained. “The way she’s handling the kids and showing them off on social media is a prime example of that.”
This was a reference to Meghan posting an increasing number of images of her and Harry’s two children Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 4, to social media as of late. Harry, 41, has not been happy about this. That’s because he wants his kids to have the privacy that he was never afforded himself as a child.
“He does not want them paraded around or thrust into the spotlight and yet Meghan continues to totally defy his wishes,” the source said. “Meghan is very much the boss in the relationship. She controls almost every aspect of Harry’s life both personally and professionally. And the way she’s bulldozing ahead with putting the kids on social media is a prime example of Meghan doing what she wants, whether Harry likes it or not.”
“It’s triggering. As a kid, he hated it when he and [brother Prince William] were forced to pose for photographers during their private moments,” the insider added. “The fact that his own kids are now being trotted out by Meghan in a similar fashion is not OK with him, but ultimately, what can he do? This [is] how Meghan controls him.”
‘Meghan Has Really Changed…’
Meghan’s behavior as of late is that of a woman who is trying to become a social media mom influencer. Indeed, it seems that she is trying to make her family into a product. Needless to say, that is not what Harry signed up for when he married Meghan in 2018.
“Meghan has really changed in Harry’s eyes,” the source claimed. “The Meghan he fell in love with had higher aspirations. He finds it pretty appalling that Meghan seems hell-bent on being this momfluencer character.”
Harry Allegedly Feels ‘Stuck’
Another issue for the couple is that they are moving in different directions in terms of their work. Meghan’s focus is increasingly on her Hollywood ambitions that she’s had for decades. Meanwhile, Harry is shifting back to focusing on his beloved philanthropy. According to the insider, Harry has grown tired of Hollywood.
“Harry doesn’t understand or enjoy the culture or mentality of Hollywood,” the source said, adding that “he’s fed up” with the constant drama.
Though Harry is allegedly tired of California, he also is wary of returning to the United Kingdom. Indeed, Harry is estranged from much of the royal family, especially his older brother Prince William. This has left him feeling “stuck” in the life that he has now, regardless of his unhappiness.
“He knows his brother wants nothing to do with him and that things will only get worse once William ascends the throne,” the source concluded. “Harry is dreading the future and hating his current reality – that’s the brutal truth.”
Many have long argued that Harry made a huge mistake when he ditched his own family to follow Meghan across the world. It seems that Harry might now be finally realizing that himself. Only time will tell if Meghan and Harry’s marriage survives, but it’s not looking very good for them.
