The A-list star Mark Wahlberg has become the latest celebrity to ditch Hollywood in search of a better life in the great state of Florida.

Wahlberg Moves To Florida

Wahlberg, 54, has purchased a $37 million mansion in the exclusive gated community of Stone Creek Ranch. This gated community is located in Delray Beach, Florida. The home can be found on a stretch of ultra-luxurious homes in the area that has been dubbed “Billionaires Row.”

Wahlberg had previously fled Southern California at the end of 2022, moving his family to Las Vegas, Nevada. However, this move seemingly didn’t last, as he sold his $16.6 million townhouse. Clearly, Wahlberg was still determined to leave California behind for good. Indeed, he has now put down roots in the Sunshine State.

Wahlberg’s new mansion has been dubbed the Palazzo di Lago, and it was designed by the spec developer Aldo Stark. Built in 2017, the mansion has 17,800 square feet of space that is spread across a 2.7-acre lot. It boasts a nearby guest house and a swimming pool. These both increase its total space to a massive 18,206 square feet.

Wahlberg’s New Mansion

Daily Mail has obtained photos of the property that show that the mansion is right on the waterfront. Thankfully for Wahlberg, however, he will still have privacy thanks to dense trees that shield the home from both the street and neighbors

In fact, the mansion’s official listing states that “privacy, security, and exclusivity remain the primary reasons why billionaires and global icons continue to choose Stone Creek Ranch, a haven where world-class design meets complete discretion.”

The mansion includes seven bedrooms. It also has 10 bathrooms and two powder rooms. This will give Wahlberg and his wife Rhea Durham, 47, plenty of space for themselves and their four children: Ella, 22; Michael, 19; Brendan, 17; and Grace, 15.

Amenities that come with the home include a home theater, a tennis court, a sauna, a wine cellar and even a cigar lounge. The mansion also boasts a seven-car garage, which is perfect to house Wahlberg’s various vehicles. The long looping driveway can provide additional parking for guests if needed.

On top of all that, the mansion has a home gym. This will allow Wahlberg to maintain his grueling daily fitness regimen from the comfort of his own home.

An ‘Architectural Masterpiece’

The mansion’s listing describes it as an “architectural masterpiece and a rarefied offering that embodies the pinnacle of luxury living in South Florida.”

“This Italian contemporary estate is one of the most distinguished and impeccably executed residential compounds in the United States,” it continued. The listing added that the home was “inspired by the tranquil glamour of Lake Como and infused with the seductive allure of Bond’s Casino Royale.”

The listing concluded by saying that the mansion is “an ode to elegance, privacy, and security.”

Wahlberg has become the latest in a long line of celebrities who have ditched Hollywood for Florida. Others include the Rocky star Sylvester Stallone and the Euphoria actress Sydney Sweeney. Many have argued that California has become unlivable due to radically liberal policies that have increased crime and homelessness while also causing taxes to skyrocket.

In the end, we can certainly see why Wahlberg has had enough of California and chosen to move to Florida. We hope Wahlberg and his family have many years of happiness in the Sunshine State to come!
