Michelle Pfeiffer has admitted she “fell in love” with Kurt Russell the first time she met him.

The pair teamed up in the 1988 crime drama Tequila Sunrise before reuniting on the new TV series The Madison.
In an interview with People, Michelle opened up about their working relationship and said her fondness for the 75-year-old began the moment she laid eyes on him.
Admitting she “fell in love” with Kurt, Michelle also said he was who she would go to on a bad day, both then and now.
She smiled, “It’s who he is as a person. Whenever I would have a tough day or something, I’d go to Kurt, and he just kind of helped me talk it through.”

Michelle’s comments about Kurt come after he paid tribute to her in a gushing piece for IndieWire, saying he was honored to see the “level of respect” the actress has earned during her years in the industry.
Recalling the first moment he saw her on set after 37 years apart, Kurt wrote, “As she approaches, I can’t help but appreciate her innate ability to, with equal lack of effort or intention, put all the beauty of Montana surrounding us where it belongs…. at her feet.”

Doing The Madison Together
Kurt added that he didn’t know when he was going to be able to act opposite Michelle again, so being allowed to do so in The Madison was a treat.
He continued, “One of the nicest things about our business is, you never know when you may get the chance to experience playing in that sandbox [on Tequila Sunrise] and bonding again with a great play pal. Sometimes it can happen fairly soon, other times it may be 37 years apart.”
“Either way, when it does happen, it puts a smile in your heart and a little jump in your step. That’s just how I’m feeling as I’m about to ‘work’ again with Michelle.”
