Yesterday, we reported that Melania Trump had issued a statement in which she denied having ties to the late billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Indeed, Melania claimed that any allegations that she was linked to Epstein are “lies.”
Now, the late night television host Jimmy Kimmel is firing back at Melania in a big way. According to him, this statement indicates that Melania “must really hate” her husband Donald Trump.
Kimmel Sounds Off Against Melania
On Thursday, Melania read out a statement about Epstein from the White House. In an extremely rare statement, Melania claimed that she had “never been friends” with Epstein.
Hours later, Kimmel responded by saying that Melania “delivered a doozy of a prepared statement, demanding that we stop talking about something no one was talking about.”
“You know somewhere in the White House, Trump saw this happening, he spit out a whole gallon of Diet Coke,” Kimmel said as he aired clips from Melania’s speech. “This is already better than her movie.”
This was a reference to the First Lady’s recent hit documentary Melania.
‘She Must Really Hate Him…’
Kimmel went on to question why Melania felt the need to issue this statement “today,” after the president “spent the past six weeks trying to bomb this Epstein story out of the headlines.”
“Two days after the ceasefire, she puts it right back on top,” Kimmel quipped. “She must really hate him. I don’t know how else to explain it.”
Donald himself has admitted that he did “know anything about” Melania’s statement before she read it out. He added that she “didn’t know” Epstein.
“It shows you just how smoothly things are running over there,” Kimmel said of Donald’s response. “For whatever reason, she didn’t ask, she didn’t give him a heads up, she just went right out in front of the cameras and fired away.”
In her speech, Melania asked for victims to have “the opportunity to testify under oath in front of Congress with the power of sworn testimony.” Kimmel hit back by saying that this was “something Donald most definitely does not want to happen.”
Not stopping there, Kimmel also addressed Melania’s claims about “numerous fake images and statements” linking her to Epstein and his former madam Ghislaine Maxwell.
“While you’re explaining how much you didn’t know Epstein, any particular reason you can think of [why] he had a picture of you guys on display at his house?” Kimmel asked. “Maybe this is the photo that came with the frame, I don’t know.”

Melania’s Speech
Despite Kimmel’s mockery, Melania was adamant that she never had any ties to Epstein.
“The lies linking me with the disgraceful Jeffrey Epstein need to end today,” Melania said. “I do not object to their ignorance, but rather I reject their mean-spirited attempts to defame my reputation.”
“I [have] never been friends with Epstein,” the First Lady continued. “Donald and I were invited to the same parties as Epstein from time to time. Since overlapping in social circles is common in New York City and Palm Beach.”
Melania also said that she met Epstein in 2000, two years after she met her husband.
“I am not Epstein’s victim,” Melania emphasized. “Epstein did not introduce me to Donald Trump. I met my husband by chance at a New York City party in 1998. This initial encounter with my husband is documented in a detail in my book ‘Melania.’ The first time I crossed paths with Epstein was in the year 2000 at an event Donald and I attended together. At the time, I had never met Epstein and had no knowledge of his criminal undertakings.”

Epstein allegedly committed suicide in prison in 2019. At the time of his death, he was awaiting trial on various disturbing sex crime charges.
Kimmel can mock Melania all that he wants to, but many feel that she came off as a strong First Lady with this speech. In the end, Melania is a strong, independent woman who doesn’t need her husband’s permission before she addresses the American people. Melania also has something that Kimmel will never have, and that is class.
